Solo play?
I kind of hate the coop part of these type of games, so how is solo balanced? Easy to progress thru the game solo playing?

Yes, it's balanced for solo play. I haven't finished all the content but so far, it's been relatively easy.

Yes you can play the game as a singleplayer game. I´d say it´s overall more on the easier and chill side but that oc depends on how experienced you are with these kinds of games and which class you play.

Mage and archer for example are fairly easy since you can cheese a lot by climbing on obstacles and shooting down.

Melee is bit more challenging but except for a few enemy types also well manageable once you know the moveset of the enemies and how to exploit it since they all have a hard time dealing with strafing and circling around them.

As someone who has finished two worlds entirely, and has 3 characters with no less than 70 quests finished per character at 25 each, and played completely solo, It feels like it starts slow, but it's absolutely completely doable solo. The focus of the game is exploration and building, which is done very well on both parts. I did my first character as sword and board, and I didn't feel like it was challenging, as many others have stated since launch. They've reduced a lot of farming for item creation, so you've come at a good time. This will help a lot when you progress, even in early game.

I haven't finished the game, but I only play solo and it seems vary doable. I like to explore and build/rebuild in the game, so I advance pretty slow. And for the most part, the enemies aren't to hard. If I do run into one that I'm having trouble with, I simply run away and come back when I am more prepared. If I find an area I'm having trouble in, again, I go away and come back when I'm more prepared - I'm in no hurry. It's a good game to play solo - I think you will be fine.

solo is fun, from what it seems co op gets really easy to over power everything.

I find to solo u need to be tank/warrior style build or you wont last long, healer, wizard is 1 shot and you are dead.

Nah, invest in constitution down the tank tree and you should be fine with some armor that gives more HP, but of course, stay away from the mobs. You kill fast and you die fast, its the glasscannon way afterall.

Not when you actively dodge incoming attacks. If you stand there like a rock then of course you get killed. If you are halfway decent at dodging you are literally unkillable as wizard and damagewise you are op as hell anyway.

I have just a few days ago continued with my mage playthrough after completing the game with my melee and archer build and my goodness mages are so insanely overpowered. I killed the whispwyvern in like ten seconds. All it could do was jump at me one single time which I of course dodged and then I just leasurely casted acid bite two times and it was dead. This is just nuts.

I am dreaming of a game like this with good scripted companions like "Dragon age." or "Dragon Dogma".
