Hollow Halls
Fantastic new content. Nicely designed, huge dungeons with a cool new aesthetic and exploration mechanics.

The enemies on the other hand - horrible. Just dumping 20 skeletons with silly movement speeds and an almost un-dodgeable leap attack with a 2 sec CD on the players isn't fun, nor a 'bigger challenge'. It just creates more incentive to spam air attacks.

I can already see myself become frustrated beyond measure when we try out the higher level Halls. I do hope these have lesser, more special enemies which enforce a more tactical approach.

I hate them, impossible to do solo, this is a solo game as much as a multiplayer game, not be able to do all the content is a very bad idea, especially putting the new artisan behind this impossible quest, the game was 100/100, now it's 49/100

It's early access, don't bust a nut. Leave some feedback, there may be adjustments, or whatever. Breathe a little, ffs.

Though if it's made easier then we'll get all the whine posts from the hardcore players who think the game is too easy. So, is it too hard, too easy, how do you please anyone/everyone?

Meh. Same bs, different day.

It felt more like 40+ enemies to me. Now they cross doors, they dont get stuck anywhere and they climb.

In hindsight i tho that was a bug and one door was supposed to open at the time.

There should be a way to unlock the recipes and content for solo player not having to go through hell an be killed millions of times in a loop. I just want to collect resources, explore and build nice houses. I don't care about these dungeons, they should not be in this game (They locked the feedback, so I guess the forum is the only place to discuss this now)

On the other side, many care about new combat challenges. It is not only a "house flipper" game, but an action/survival rpg ... and the dungeons are also solo-able with preparation and care, not impossible as you said.

Impossible to do solo? Wut? I solo'd the first one without even breaking a sweat. I hope it gets harder, combat is a breeze. Then again, I'm playing Bow, and I've got thousands of hours playing bow on Warframe as training.

Maybe for you, but impossible for me, then maybe they should implement a difficulty level. You can put it on very hard and I can put it on very easy.

What is the level of your character, mine is 11, close to the first Hollow Hall monster level, are you 25 ?

If it's easy, can you explain the tactic so I can do it too ? When you have 20 skeletons ganging on you at the same time, if I try to hit one, then 10 will strike me loosing half my hp bar. Taking them one by one is impossible as aggro one is aggro the 20 (they call the others). They re-spawn. They go through my shield.

Please check the comment I put above, what preparation and car can I do to do it. I've had plenty of healing potions, lockpicks, several legendary weapons my level. Using bombs, using the skeleton invocation, using wands, bow, mace to bash the skeleton. Fully rested and using foods.

hate all the skeletons wish it were more big battles not so much run from 100 skeletons
Krutnal Mar 26, 2024 @ 12:28pm
I agree Panda. Im a 25 Mage and the skelletons were hard to knock out. It also depends on the type of damage your weapons do. Firedamage isnt helpfull in the first dungeon.
Ulfhedinn Mar 26, 2024 @ 12:38pm
Blunt weapons are best against Skeletons, also Explosive Grenades will work to thin out the hordes, Grab a real Shield as well if only for the Hallowed Halls.

Keep as much distance and use your terrain, if there is a door way, use that to funnel them in, keep closing the door on them as much as possible, make them waste time trying to keep the door open, taking that time to shoot, block, dodge, toss in a grenade, or other AoE/AE attack.

The new skullbombs does wonders in the Hollow Halls, just drop a few in the middle of the horde and you can bash away.

I didn't even know about those, I was thinking the first ones that can be found, thank you for the update and help.

I think the Update is fantastic, including the "difficulty" of the Dungeons. While the 1st Dungeon in Springlands against LvL 10 enemies is easy enough to solo I have a feeling the Kindlewastes Dungeon will wreck full Parties of Players. This is part of a difficulty factor Enshrouded needed.

Yes, it might mean some folks will have to use alternate methods to acquire certain things if they either can't find a group of Players to carry them through difficult content or are unable to handle it themselves.

On that topic, I will be updating the Public Resource World with all the new stuff added in v0.7.1.0 this week. It's going to take a while to get everything as a few items aren't just automatically available to craft from the NPC's and are discovered in the Dungeons. I've only completed the Springlands one so far.

On my 25 I used a Wand with the Skill that can spawn a Skull to help you and also can proc splash damage and solo'd the Dungeon fine. It took forever, so long in fact that my 1 hour Rested buff wore off but I was never in a situation where I thought I was going to die. It's about HOW you build your Character and learning when to back off, glide to another platform, regroup and attack again. I'm not implying "git gud n00b" here, but instead learning YOUR limitations and strengths and playing to them both. Once you get in a good groove, it'll be much easier for you, just gotta keep tinkering with setups until you find what suits you best.
