What does "Power" actually do?
I assume that more Power on a weapon is good, but in what way? What does a higher Power stat do for a weapon?

Nobody knows?

I'm guessing it scales the strength of the projectiles. Spells and arrows have a certain strength to them, and the staves and bows add to or multiply that. Maybe.

It makes you push misfigured 500+ year old's into a volcanic pit.

It's the ability to throw away something of great value and importance that you hold dear.

It's a Ring. JUST KIDDING!! (but that's lord of the rings.)

Here's the unfortunate truth and the understanding of Words itself.

When we come to the idea that we need to ask what "Power" actually does, we can always define the word power. With this being said the answer is pretty much "Someone with power has physical strength or they're in control of things" So essentially with a little bit of googling or opening a dictionary to invest the time to educate ourselves on what a word means and finding out we can safely say that Power is Strength. Which is Physical Damage.

It appears to be the games way of trying to simplify the average damage of a weapon. It seems to be a mash of any damage types on it alongside bonuses.

I'd much rather the game just list damage normally. But tis what we get.

Listing it as "Power" is normal. imho it sounds like you played only games like Blizzard games.

Tons and tons and tons of other games actually use "Power". In fact, i believe its quite more common to use "Power" than to use "Damage".
