In either case, if I fast travel, to the same base I'm already at even, it fixes it.
Also what you describe seems to happen when there are lots of lightsources - at least for me. So its probably a limitation of the engine to some extent or the players hardware. Still this obviously isnt of priority in an EA game that isnt even feature complete. Also placement also seems to be able to generate "bugs" because of the landscape that can be shaped so freely.
You seem to enjoy to read things in the way you want to read it. Maybe you should argue with yourself since thats what you are doing already ...
Btw. the thread is called "still bugged" implying it should have been fixed by now. Obviously reporting bugs is a good thing there is even a bug-report option in the game if i remember correctly and it also makes sense to discuss bugs in the forum.
For some reason when i place those firefly-laterns on the ground near a field with a wood fence it will go crazy and transform in a strobe light - which is probably a bigger problem for some people.
This is a very fair point and I'm glad to not be the only one who's made it. All things considered it's a great game with very few issues for early access, the thing is when it comes to unknowns ...they are unknown, so nobody really knows what WILL BE FIXED, like for real and what will just be promised *to be fixed, those things are not the same and the state of the industry is one in which promises are made and very regularly broken and that's when devs aren't playing 'bait and switch'.
It's hard not to be critical and easy to assume the worst.
I think the fact that there are so many complaints speaks volumes about the number of people enjoying the game though that may seem counter-intuitive, the bottom line is that nobody complains about things they don't care about.
and on that note...the sandstone texture is gorgeous but also massively broken on any flat surface where it completely mismaps (possibly a rendering issue).
