Is this game worth it for solo?
Hey guys, I'm the type of person that has no interest playing with others, nothing against folks that want to play the game with people, just not my thing that's all, I like to RP in my own world, build my bases how I want, play how i want etc.
Would love some opinions from other solo players.

Will I miss out on anything like events or anything like that if I do play solo?
Is the game more difficult solo or is there anything in game I won't be able to-do/bosses can't kill solo?
Do the Devs have solo players in mind at all with this game?

cheers

I'm 140+ hours in, almost done with all the current content but my base still needs finishing. Everything and everywhere is doable by yourself - once you are at the proper level and have area-suitable gear. Furthermore, Enshrouded is one of the best EA games I've played in a long time (stable, functional, tons of content, inventive and looks good etc) so has definitely been worth my money and time.

you can definitely play this solo, you wont be missing anything. when you first start off you want to be careful. as you are squishy. craft yourself some armor and a shield asap. fall damage and stamina is very important. run out of stamina, you can fall from climbing, gliding, fighting/dodging. did I mention fall damage ♥♥♥♥♥ in this game lol?

Actually the game now in early access, and most mechanics are suite mostly for solo players.
Moreover coop is somewhat busted for now (quest reward only for one player; quests linked to server, not a player...)
So definitely a bad idea to play it with random people.
However if you have a friend or two with voice chat it definitely worth a try.
For example I played whole game with 2 friends, took us about 100 hours to beat all 75 quests (may be we missed 1 or 2).

Another vote for solo. Been playing all on my lonesome and really don't think I'm missing out on anything. So far I'm 80 hours in and having a blast. TBH tried Palworld... yeah I find this game to be far superior to it. Unless you have a Pokemon fixation...

better solo, move at your own pace, make your own decisions etc. solo = play how you want to play. game is 100% fine to play solo.

Keen have not built the game for solo players. They are open about this. Yes the game is more difficult for solo players and there is no difficulty setting or save game option. That isn't to say you can't have a good time. Base building is good and worthy of praise. The early game will be tough and you'll need more than an hour or two to decide if the game is for you. Really, like everything, you take all the opinions and evidence and make your own mind up.

if you can live with an endlessy resetting, non permanent world outside your base, then it may be for you. if you want to have an impact on the world you are in - i would consider another game, maybe try keens former game portal knights.

About 60 hours of content in game now, said to be a third of final content. Very forgiving for solo play as you only loose crafting resources when you die, and even that is recoverable.
Areas you claim are also fast travel spots, so getting around is easy too.

Solo is perfectly fine and a lot of fun; they intend to support coop as well but have some bugs in that area they are working on. As long as you arent looking for "souls-like combat", this game pretty much has everything.

I actually played portal knights quite a bit on switch and PC. such a good game. Yeah thats alright about the world resetting outside my base, I kind of like that in a way, i wish that was in valheim lol

I am the same way OP. I prefer solo in most games and I have almost 150 hours in Enshrouded. Game is just as fun or more fun than the first day I tried it. I love this game solo. So much fun. Yes it's worth it. Yes I'm level 25 and explored most of the games major areas already.
