Are Wands ranged weapons?
It says "Mid Range Weapon", will skills like Sniper, Marksman and Sharpshooter work?

It is good for a ranged perk to me but I'd go for the DMG of the wand as a prime consideration. Like Wizard or Battle Mage.

No, "ranged" weapons are specifically the stamina using things like bows. There are three major divisions in the game: Melee, bow, magic.

The specifically mention the mid-range on the wand, because it does have a max range. If enemies are outside of it, your projectiles will do nothing.

If you want to buff wands, you have to skill in the blue tree; battle mage tree is for wands, other trees like wizard buff special elements like fire, ice. There you must find a wand which fit the element you had skilled.

P.S. And wands are "nearly" melee weapons with a bid more range, about 7 meters I guess. Bows shoot for 150 meters or so - this is range.

Oh does the skills that not says wands and ranged weapon also boost the wand ?
I thought only those skills that specificly says ranged, wand etc. Thought the other was spell damage.
Does that mean the euitment we use for magic also boost wands ?
Strange to have specific wand skills then, when all magic skills boost wands

Wands count as a (melee)magic weapon. "Melee" and "Ranged" increasing talents do not count for wands nor staves, only physical damage types.
Wizard tree damage increase talents count for all weapons that do that element.
Magic damage increases work for staves and wands. Same for some set's "Magic Damage multiplier", like the Elder set gloves, where the Warlock set gloves +x wand damage, only increases wand damage.
Also weapon stat increase numbers, only apply when actually wielding that weapon, like a + % crit chance on staves.

Good to hear, so if i boost magic skills, and lets say also the flame damage skills, this will also applies to a wand if it got flame damage ?
Yeah some skills and bonuses on wands boost magic and flame damage, so it all this boost also wand damage, then i am also happy

Unfortunately, "Magic Damage multiplier" from Elder gloves does NOT affect wand damage, at least not on normal targets. Maybe it works only on "magical foes" like its other stats (+9% damage against magical foes), or maybe it works only for staves, but it does NOT work for wands.

I have done lot of tests with wands on dummies to find damage formula and check talents, and some of more interesting conclusions are:
1. "Sting" talent ONLY affect additional projectiles from "Master" talent ( making it much less important talent )
2. "Thunder/Lightning" talents, Overcharge and Elixir are NOT included in wand bonus crit damage (but are included in normal wand damage - this is probably bug )
3. "Magic Damage Multiplier" (eg from "Elder Gloves") does NOT affect wand damage on normal enemies
4. ranged (green) talents like "Marksman/Counter Battery" do NOT affect wands
5. wands are capped to level 25 and upgrading/enchanting lvl 25 wand will not increase its 47 damage. But it WILL add effects, so legendary "Ritual Tempest Wand" fully upgraded does add 5*9=45 damage to initial 47 damage
6. Elixir does not increase damage by 30%. It is closer to 20%, or even under 15% for final builds, due to elixir not being included in crit bonus damage and also since its 30% is not directly applied but added to all other "+damage%" effects

Well a Staff falls under Ranged Weapon so technically it should get buffed from skills which are indicating it
