blunt damage question
so there I have 2 weapons: a sword and a mace (almost full cut VS full blunt damage)
same level (17 epic), same upgrades, same skill modifiers in cut and blunt.

yet it seems on all enemy types I encounter (beast-man, shroud-man, iron-scrap-man, wolfs and boars) blunt does less damage than cut.

am I missing anything?

Blunt do extremely well against skeletons.
Also there is weapon specialization talent in warrior tree that can drastically change weapon outcome.

hey, thanks for the reply.

I have to say I dont see too many skeletons so far. so its a specialized weapon.

I have tier 1 (+10% damage) for both cutting and blunt damage in warrior tree.

I guess I won't carry the mace that often then if its specific to skellies.

Actually my main weapon is epic lvl 25 2h blunt mace with all traits add additional blunt damage. And it's pretty reliable weapon.

In rare occasions I use one handed cutting sword (most traits add cut damage). It's good against critters and spiders.

In most cases 2h blunt weapon hold alot longer (you need only several strikes for smashing enemies), while sword is looking extremely fast and agile it's breaking pretty fast (even with 300 durability).
Also 2h weapons has extremely good crits (backstb + crit + jump bonus damage from tallents).
With 20 strength it goes over 1000 damage.

thanks for the explanation.

I shoudlve been more specific, I was talking about 1handed mace VS 1handed sword.

exact same weapon as you have, but doing cutting damage instead, would work better against most enemies in the game.

and because I play 1handed + shield, it seems I have no benefit in taking a blunt weapon.
