Is there any way to build a rounded arch in a wall?
I built a divider wall inside my longhouse and have a wide opening in the middle to walk through. I don't see any building pieces to add rounded arches to the top corners of the wall. Anybody been able to do this?

If those existed in the game, I'm pretty sure we'd have seen them used in a building somewhere or other.

That's what I figured. I don't understand why so many people say the building in this game is better than Valheim and other similar games. I think it is very rudimentary and lacking a lot of common pieces.

meh, it's nearly identical as far as I can tell but I haven't played Valheim in ages so *shrug*

At least it's better than Sons of the Forest. LOL

at least in sons of the forest I know where the wood is going. That's a small amount of peace, I find.

I get... 18 wood per tree in this, and need.... 10? to build 100 blocks. A wall is like 72 wood which means that a wall is made up of....

Anyways, its nice knowing a log is a log is a log

I read all the reviews I could find online plus all the reviews on Steam and kept reading over and over that the building is so good.

Identical? Not even close. Valheim has structural integrity adding challenge to building.

Plus Valheim allows for compound building when two build pieces can occupy the same area.

This game is a good survival game but it isn't even close to Valheim's crown. It lacks both in challenge and immersion. Don't need chimneys in this game. You do in Valheim but it doesn't tell you. It lets you die of smoke inhalation instead. You can't plant things two close in Enshrouded. Valheim lets you do just that then later says hey, you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Do better next time.

I'd say building is easier in Enshrouded but that doesn't make it better. In fact it removes the challenge the way I see it.

While I recommend both games I would buy Valheim over Enshrouded if I had to choose.

As for round arches the only time I've seen them is in windows I have created. I think the game engine decides this or perhaps the window orientation does. I haven't really experimented but I do have a few windows that look like they have arches in them.

Just try to cut a squared off one out of the space and see if the game does an arch for you.

I tried adding the same piece as the one you use to fill in triangle shaped areas and all it did was add a stepped arch like a staircase.

Any ideas how to make the opening look better? The one right behind the storage boxes.

On a separate note, does the fog inside my base ever go away?

Nope, the fog doesn't go away. During the closed beta they said this was not supposed to be like that because it does nothing but kill performance and look ew and they didn't fix it.

while you cant to true rounded shapes you can use the top row on the build tool to place and remove single blocks. This can be used to get semi round shapes (think minecraft shapes) and can be used to make some complex shapes and builds like inlaying one material into another

Only for terrain and the Topping of Roofing.

Everything else is a solid square.

Aside from this, you cannot do angles.

I ended up placing 2 columns. It looks a little better.
