Yes, the star cause when you do build, you can make the roofing only a square IF you want to as you build and learn how the blocks connect when you place them.
Bring out hammer, press TAB, then press and HOLD ALT and viola, menu. Then chose up or down for the set of menu you want by scrolling mouse wheel, once selected let go.
Use the numbers to choose your shape or the mouse wheel.
Be mindful of the little icons at the top right corners as the blue little squares indicates its for building and then there are green pieces for terrain.
Every other base building game has triangles and inverted triangles to fill in these gaps.
Thanks, that would be great.
Use roof pieces.
If you roam around the game, youll see how other houses do it. Place down an alter and take them apart.
Use roof pieces is the final answer i promise.

This is what it looks like with the single wall blocks filling in the gaps. I'm happy with that.
Also, so everyone knows, the "triangle wall" in question is referred to as a "rake wall" as the angle portion of the outside face of the roof that is sloping is called a rake... while the portion of the roof that is parallel(horizontal) to the house floor is an "eave." Rake wall could also be referred to as a "gable end."
I have yet to come across any issue designing castles or homes on this that requires gimmicks to fix. All the design methods you see in the game, you can build, though some of the vanilla patterns appear to be missing, as I can't find the patterns for longkeep walls or flooring.
Now we just need a glass roof recipe for skylights and greenhouses.
