Enshrouded JUST HIT EA and you expect it to have the content that Valheim has now?
GTFO you troll.
Yep, I have a ton of hours in Valheim and the vast majority of it is base building and farming materials. There really isn't that much actual content, people just act like there is because of the insane grind. Like you said, they haven't added ♥♥♥♥ in 3 years to that game. This game launched with more items, more build pieces, more farmable plants, pretty much more of everything...this game already has more content than Valheim...they just don't make you sail around aimlessly for 50 hours looking for the Trader or a Boss stone. The potential this game has far exceeds Valheims in my opinion. Can't wait to see what the modders do, if its anything like what they have been able to do for Valheim it should be pretty awesome.
Addition: Honestly the genre itself is starved for innovation, and for a new concept, the one with the most going for it is Once Human IMO. And it's unfortunate that so many new additions are coming along and just failing to capture any kind of fire. PalWorld although completely different than Enshrouded, is actually a more developed, polished, and survivalesque title than this, with a unique "hook" that captured a huge segment of players that enjoyed multiple genres all at once. Nightengale played liked a pre-alpha in the most recent test, and I am no longer interested in it...I'm not going to pay 30+ to provide them free testing and feedback that they apparently didn't have the capacity to do inhouse.
I agree 100%. I have around 2k hours in valheim and its just so bleh. This game far exceeds.
this post is on point.
everything they showed is in the game currently. EVERYTHING. i wonder if the rest even exists currently.
game has huge potential but currently its definitly not even close to valheim. of course that comparison isnt fair given the time of release difference but this game has core issues that valheim just doesnt share for example.
not that the comparison makes any sense in the first place given valheim is different with its random generation etc.
we will see where this game ends up by the middle of this year. valheim is about to get ashlands update till then aswell and v rising will go 1.0 in may. good times ahead no matter what happens or doesnt happen for this game. if something good comes out of this down the road thats just more games to play and choose from.
Sorry the team is overwhelmed with the immense financial success that is valheim.
Everyone knows they are milking EA for as long as possible. It was over a year since mistlands that wasnt alot of content. They're all busy going on vacation etc
I would like a roadmap too but I don't think it's reasonable to be this fiery. Especially when 60+% of valheim's "content" is just grinding.
Also Valheim doesnt have that much content at all - boring rng biomes with copy Paste POIs.
Its a great framework for a great game - but not that much more and sadly not much was added.
Give these guys a chance.
Also having played both games this game is 100% better than Valheim and its not even close.
