So no shroud wood?
I caved in and purchased the game, now I am trying get some Shroud wood, so off I go into the shroud chopping anything that is wood, picking up what I can and all I am getting is normal wood. I have chopped trees, barrels and carts while inside the shroud, and all it gives is normal wood. Is there meant to be a specific area of shroud it is meant to be?

Look for trees in the Shroud, not the ones near the edge of it, as those will only give regular wood, look for ones farther in and chop those down, that's how you get shroud wood.

Shroud trees look dead and are always in the shroud.

Shroud Wood is why I bought the game too! Hope you can find it eventually or your money is wasted.

Also make sure to cut trees in the bigger shroud areas. I tried cutting trees in the small shroud pockets near the starting zone and those didn't count for me, so they probably have to be in the "deeper shroud" as it were.
