Pro tip: Abuse Flame Alters.

This should be obvious, but I've not heard anyone really talk about this yet, so thought I might as well.

Flame Alters are CHEAP (5 stone), can be made on the fly, and act as a checkpont/fast travel.

About to go into an area you're not sure you should be in yet? Flame Alter.
About to make a glider jump you're not quite sure you can make? Flame Alter.
Found a nice resource deposit, but your pick keeps breaking/don't have enough room? Flame Alter + workbench.

Granted, the number you can make is limited, but most solo players or small groups aren't ever going to use ALL their Alters. Even if you just 1-2 "free" between everyone to use, they're super easy to make and easy to destroy.

Abusing flame altars doesnt even shorten the game. you are still likely to see over 60 hours before you are 'done' with whats available.

+1, to ALL the advice above.

With enough time, and energy, you can find places that have MULTIPLE resources around one flame altar. I have one near the cradle of dusk, for farming the fell montrosity heads for trophies. But right near it is a copper mine, with huge seams, and northeast is a shroud root with a HUGE tin deposit behind it. Kill the root, the area is safe and non-shroud again.

Combined it means I go there and in one visit get enough stuff to make a ton of bronze.

I keep another flame altar near the bounty barn, just so I can go there and harvest wild growing wheat. There's a whole field there, no reason to ever grow wheat.

No abuse? It is one of the normal purposes of the altar to serve as a save and recall point.

I will advise against it or at least watch for the range of the altar as it will prevent the deposit from resetting

Yeah, I consider my unallocated flame altar to be a travel portal. I don't consider that abuse at all. It makes exploration really easy. And if you have more than one, you can leave one at a tough fight if you need to try different tactics.

Want to know the best flame altar hack?
Put one up next to a sun temple, bring some blue orbs and upgrade 1,2,x-times, enjoy looting the empty temple as there will spawn no more enemies inside the altar zone.

Pro tip - you can play however you want but chances are that if you use mechanics in a way that actually make the game shorter or hinder you from actually playing the game - chances are youre actually missing out and wont do yourself a favour.

Its like - pro tip - instead of going to a party just let the AI create some fake pictures of you at the party.

In the end everyone should be able to play SP games as they want - but dont complain later if you ruin your own enjoyment.

Its the same with cheats etc. in general - yes you can cheat all ressources and never mine anything and have/build anything instantly - but in the end thats actually neither "fulfilling" in terms of gaming, nor fun and you will have paid for a game you finished in minutes.

You can probably also just build a base in the sky in this game at a height that allows you to travel anywhere by flying - but i doubt that this will increase your fun. You can also avoid lots of areas by simply flying to the finish - for example with the NPCs and some bosses.

also, there is nothing pro about sucking so hard at such an easy game you have to cheese it to progress lol...

This is a SP/Coop game - nobody is forcing you to do it - if you dislike this yet lack the simple willpower to not do something you dislike its clearly a you problem.

Honestly - you can also just buy the game and pay someone else to play it - so the game would be a joke? You can also just buy some MMO Account at max level = game is a joke?

Also what are you even talking about? "Pro" this is a game for fun - nobody cares about your "achievements" in games ...
Im glad this game has no PVP focus because this will probably make the community way better - sadly there is a lot of toxic PVP players.
