My only real issue with this game as far as the building goes is the insane requirements for book crafting.

Needing 20 Old Books to make 1 book, when I either have to painstakingly farm them by logging in and out to farm the same room for hours, to just get maybe 30 every 5 minutes or so, if I were to want to build a library, on average, that'd take about an hour of farming just to fill like one bookcase row, or just let it take me a year by organically finding them to filly a single bookcase... Seems a bit excessive...

I think it's a misspel on devs part. There shouldn't be 0 at the end. It's the same with something like Stamina Ring, that for some reason gives you only 3 stamina. That's...incredibly pathetic, but probably devs meant it to give 3 Endurance? They kinda to look over the stuff they added and fix those misspels.

Books also should be lootable with one button press, not slowly "dismantling" them. As far as I am aware, books are literally the only item in the game you can "dismantle" outside of building zone of your altar. Why the exception? The game is really in a dire need of standardization to remove all these confusing and excessive exceptions to rules.

I agree, books are a pain to gather and a pain to make really hope they reduce the requirements and make gathering them take only press and instead of a press and hold.

The only workaround I've seen is to farm Ammonia Glands and make bookcase secret doors with paper, but I feel like this is kinda dumb that we can make secret doors with bookcases with books on them with paper, but not normal books. Hopefully they introduce a paper alternative to making regular books as well.

Yeah, building costs of books are too expensive for being purely decorative.

Go to Woodgard. Just place a nearby flame and then relog to respawn the books.

instead of dismantling books, break/attack them, they drop once broken. its way faster to collect at least.

Books don't have the "item" model, so they tend to fall somewhere under textures or even just dissapear. You destroy the shelf full of books and salvage 1-2 max.

In general DECORATIVE furniture/items should be much much cheaper...

Depends on what book your crafting. some are 20 others 80

20 for a single book. 80 for a stack of 4. Always has been.

Tried that. You get less overall. By quite a bit.
