Is the entire map this empty?
Been playing a couple days. Found the blacksmith and hunter and explored some. It's OK fun but the world seems empty so far. I mean like other than a few wolves or mobs in shroud areas there is not much to fight or do.
I collect stuff in empty buildings and search mostly empty ruins and run all over a empty map other than the occasional wolf.
Does this stay through the entire game or do wandering mobs eventually become something to find?

50 hours into the game and I'm still having a fun time exploring and finding things.

Empty is relative to the player.

Undead guys come out at night all across the land. Some of the ruins are scavenger encampments. The game is like 2 weeks into Early Access, so who knows what will happen as development progresses.

The world is dieing, mankind is already extinct... So no there won't be much life to encounter besides the mobs inside the shroud and some animals in the wilderness.

There are an increasing number of enemies and larger enemy bases the further you progress.

Ok thanks. This is what its starting to look like. Pretty much just a building game with some mild action to find once in a while.
Thank you. That is fun enough for a while i guess.
Cheers

The world is dead or dying. (or life support).

Insofar as "not a lot to do", this is not Diablo or other looter / shooters.

You can ignore: Material gathering, base building, crafting, however, sooner or later you will pay a price.

Im gathering tons of materials and upgrading my armor and weapons and have built a base but see no need to make it bigger or better other than personal taste.
I wasnt expecting a looter shooter at all. I did however think it would be similar to Conan but it is what it is thanks.

Sometimes you find ruins with enemy's camping in them, or caves to explore. There are some mini dungeons all over the place and the miasma tree flower things to cut down.

It is not like an Hack&Slay where the next crowd of 50 enemys is around every corner and the world feels "dead" to a degree, but I guess thats part of the story and for me personally was not that bad in the first region, never seen the later ones so I dont know how this changes.

Empty is EMPTY bro.. this aint no glass half full bs.

And yes, the game IS that empty. There's nothing. Just the same abandoned buildings over and over and over again. Its why Ive stopped playing. There's not even any interesting new biomes or nothing.. just green grass, shroud, and abandoned buildings.

Private profile , without gamplay time, we don't know even if you bought it. The game is rich in elements, handmade constructions, puzzle palaces and monsters (friendly or not) in abundance

Its fairly subjective.
If you'd go by its dictionary meaning, you'd be simply wrong as its an absolute state meaning it doesn't even has 1 mob in it.

Its population is rather realistic, not like most slashers filled with 100x the population that would live in an area.

Yeah it's kinda disappointing, even for EA.
I didn't really want the game but my wife gifted it to me despite me saying no so i sorta have to play it for a while but wow I just can't find anything to peek my interest.
Sure I gather and explore and rescue the survivers and I built a small functional base but everything is either completely empty or just has a couple mobs to farm for metal scraps.
I'm really hoping later in the game I find something other than wolves in the none shroud areas.
I've been told undead roam at night but I must not be far enough along to find them.
Fingers crossed though.

11 hours. I have a private profile to keep jerks from spamming me in military Sims and even had a legit death threat that I had to contact authorities because it was so precise.
I'd rather keep it private lol.

I don't think the world is empty. I'd explored a bit walking into areas i didn't even have a quest for and basically there is a ruin or a shack every 5 minutes of walk. Some of them contain lore or hidden chests.
I literally just found a hidden chest in a small ruin 5 minutes ago i walked just past 10 meters beside it at least a dozen times, not even noticing that there was a ruin.

Most enemies are in POIs and i even appreciate it that i don't have to fight enemies every 50m along a pathway. Later in the game you will find really big POIs (whole villages) with reasonable amounts of enemies and spend hours for one POI if you want to investigate them completely.
