What am I doing wrong.

I really like this game, I have only been playing a few days, but I really love the concept, but I am stuck with an issue I can't figure out. The grappling hook, ceiling jumps. I have tried everything to use them in the obelisks, to get to the high area's and nothing I tried works, I simply come up short, and fall straight down. I am of course on PC I have tried hitting space bar to jump, I still go straight down. If I can't get past this, I can't get my NPC's so I should just quit right here if I can't resolve this issue.

I had a horrible time in the farmer's vault. I kept falling and dying because I kept missing that second grapple. Then I saw a youtube video and the guy jumped as the first grapple swing was ending and then I saw the second grapple interact "e" and was able to make it. I was really pissed as I died a bunch and I could not recover the gravestone as I could not find it in that place for some reason it was invisible in the coal or lava area.

I had no idea you could come in from the top. Damn that would have helped to know beforehand

Unfortunately it can only be used on grapple anchor-points and not like pathfinder. and once you equip it it's like the glider, always available

It's also worth noting that with some grappling hook points you are simply pulled across to a level surface. On others you have to swing forward and then jump to let go.

Still stuck in the vault. I catch the 2nd hook fine but I suspect stamina is gone and the hook won't reel me up to the far ledge and instead I get dropped into the lava. I'll try maxing stamina foods with rest and try one last time otherwise I'll take a look at the roof. I really really want to start planting crops!

After the second grapple you still have to jump. Double jump helps a lot. That second grapple will not take you all the way you still need to jump. You didn't put any points in endurance?

If puzzles like that are annoying enough, you can carry around multiple pickaxes, and just pickaxe the door till it breaks, though it will take a while.

Pickaxe because you don't have to mash your left mouse button to swing like a melee weapon.
