flying mode for building?

Is there some creative mode for building so I can fly while placing everything? It's really difficult to build up without having to make stairs constantly

Scaffolding works most of the time. It's cheap to make, places quickly, snaps nicely, and can be quickly picked up when your'e no longer using it.

problem is after placing 2-3 blocks, i move to the left , gotta cancel my action, place the foundation and interrupt the process, I don't know in advance how my building will end up so doing trial & error building is nearly impossible

But you can just pick up scaffolding, it also stacks in your inventory and you can also mount it on top of itself when building upwards.

Its the easiest way to build larger buildings other than doing it from the inside.

Also, you get your resources back if you remove blocks, so making mistakes isn't too rough.

The scaffolding is not very helpful. I find traditional Minecraft nerd pole-ing to be a better option.

yepp. Scaffolding is tedious and I mostly use them as free leaders in narrow walls and decorations (they good for that :)) Instead pick cheap and plenty building materials and build floating islands around the tower, do your stuff then you can quickly remove them.
