While there is no base hp regen there are items in the game that give some amount of regen to you, like all the boots of the warrior armor sets or a few select rings you can find randomly.
Until you have these the game expects you to just eat some regen food or use bandages for more serious wounds.
- food (fresh or dried berry, boiled eggs much later in the game...)
- warrior set items (boots at first, legs much further in gthe game...)
- bandages (basically all cloth in the world is used only to craft bandages)
- rings (pretty rare to find, has several different variations)
- water aura in mage tallent tree (was nerfed recently and now it is not OP as hell)
- healing spell from staff (unlocked in Alchemist quest line)
But since the last patch I've died at my base while I was away from my computer twice. Not sure what that's about, but I no longer trust my base.
Suck it up buttercup.
There are a lot of ways to regen hp. Berry bushes are everywhere. They are even on the route from the beginning cave to the first altar spot.
