I built between 10-20k highly polished blocks (the 30 stone per 100 batch), it wasn't close to 10h. Maybe 30min - 1h of mining.
Sounds like a box for 1h of mining...
It certainly helps if you use an iron pick, stamina food and don't browse while mining, so you'd notice that you mined air the last 30s.
Gotta remember, all these new people to games just want an easy win, they aren't here for the challenge.
I played Valheim before this you mongrel, that game values your time
valheim requires WAY more time and patience than enshrouded does currenly. so your post makes no sense.
so you either didnt play valheim or you didnt play it normally. i assume the later.
this game is very easy and its grind is very low compared to other games of this style. just cheat. the "i want everything now" crowd is really not the target audience for such games.
Dude, I love valheim, payed it for 400 hours on the very first patch BUT, godamn it doesn't value your time at all, iron and copper mining there is some of the worst things in gaming.
I am all for a x10 resource option for the people who want it (even if it isn't necessary as is easy enough to mine anything you want in good numbers) but don't use valheim as a example
Yes, even during early access.
This is the one and only thing I am sorely missing here - there should be options for things.
Note that I'm not complaining about the difficulty here, it's fine for what it is, but these types of games really need options to enable people to tweak it from more sandboxy to more hardcore.
Sorry, no. Valheim building out of good looking, high tier materials takes a lot of time.
On average i get a bit less than 200 stone/min. If you round that down pretty well, thats 600 blocks/min (of the most expensive stone blocks) or 36k/h with an iron pick.
I only used a +3 stamina food and skipped the miner skill for 10% on an additional ressource but got mason and quality gear.
Depending on how long you need to repair your pickaxe/s you should be able to keep it at 180 stone/min.
A pick lasts for ~1.2k stone, so 6min.
Aside our first tiny starterbase we didn't even mine stone explicitely and now still have a large storage chest full of stone anyway.
Mining also becomes (little bit) easier and faster once you get better tools.
Most tedious is farming wood even if you plant your own forests, because the tedious thing is not to chop the trees, but picking up the wood afterwards. And most of the wood is not even needed for building but for making coal and wood acid for further crafting. :D
Mining ore is okish... Except copper most ore veins are relatively small so you have to switch locations or wait for respawn. They already lowered the amount of tin ore required to craft the ingots from 20 to 15 what is already a big relief.
In the beginning we also went to farm metal scraps. Half through the game we didn't pick them up anymore, because we already had a chest full.
Use honey/sugar when mining to make stamina recharge much faster. And bring 2 or even more pickaxes.
Yes you need to mine/farm/grind in enshrouded but even with the current receips i needed to grind much more in almost every other game.
