Durability is SHT and should be removed.
Durability is trash on everything. Constantly having to carry multiple weapons or return to base for repairs after a few intense fights. Just get rid of the stat. It only adds a tedious element that causes nothing but grief and sucks the enjoyment out of long adventures.

You're entitled to your opinion.

Carrying multiple weapons just for different damage types anyway. Hell I usually keep one weapon purely for smashing pots.

Even started carrying around multiple mining picks so I don't need to waste points on the skill. Loads of bag space for extra weapons.

Durability is fine.

there are anvils you can find in the wild to repair your gear. and also did you get the perk to double the durabilty?

I try and tell others to do this also. i carry a two handed axe for smashing.

that perk ONLY counts for TOOLS. aka pickaxe/axe/rake.

tc can be safely ignored. could remove half the game mechanics by that logic.

Upping it 1.5x or 2x would be great honestly. My weapons breaking is usually what cuts an adventure short.

I would download a mod to take care of durability, but mod support seems really low for this game.

You can lay a flame down almost anywhere. I bring a flame and a workbench for such problems.

The durability is fine. It's in every survival game I have ever played. As mentioned, carry extra stuff or take the flame and workbench with you. Yes, it can be annoying at times, but it is part of the game that you have to account for.

Just don't use wrong tool or weapon on breaking stuff or they wear down faster.
Kosevich Feb 9, 2024 @ 12:59am
I'm carrying several weapon with me. One handed sword for fast and maneuverable battles, 2h for regular fights, second 2h just in case something goes wrong and surprisingly one handed axe for smashing objects (this one does 10 damage to world objects and has wide arc of swings).
And always looking for world anvils for field repair, those one is pretty neat game mechanic.

Always carry 1) flamealtar 2) workbench and 3) bed with you. Only three slots and you can repair whereever you want, save the game whereever you want and sleep during the night whereever you want. EDIT: And always wear different weapons with yoo, one for melee, one for range, one for a quick healing etc. ... best in this game: Weight doesn't count or slow you.

Durability mechanics are awful and should stop at some point, they are just there to force you to grind and extend game time without contributing anything to enjoy the game, just the opposite, wish they will implement some kind of configuration in difficulty settings.
Game design in these kind of games need a change, they just do the same ♥♥♥♥ again and again.

there are places to repair your stuff just about anywhere you go, durability should not be a problem.

don't use your main weapon to smash each and every little thing on your way and pick the right skills and you should be more than fine.
The durability system is quite mild and forgiving as you never lose a weapon and you can repair it back to 100% in all cases.

a toggle i could support as more options are always better but i don't want to see the current system removed.

if you are playing multi player:
of course not ever game allows a player to set and host a world their way:
which is why in many games multiplayer sucks....

(example non of my friends play the way i do...
which in build/ rpg games is way beyond super cozy game style...
so enshrouded is a very bad multiplayer game compared to say party animals)

but if you are in solo game: you can set the game to supper casual to
omg how the heck and i supposed to win hellcore mode...

i do wish they had more settings like turning off shroud spawning in flame protected areas
when the space you picked had no visible shroud on the map and was above the shroud map level...
so i could actual take advantage of the 160 by 160 x 160 spaces.

drop ores and gems like iron asa replaceable land... making the under ground mines would be supper fun for me lol.

durability is off... in my settings
