Seedlings disappearing

So it plants in the ground fine but then a few secs later it disappears.... Is anyone else having this issue? it's planted in my farmland too

I had this once after building some farming plots in my base and filling them with fertilized soil. On some places (mostly at the edges/rims of the plot) I could plant seedlings that just disappeared. It was only on small spots though, but there, every seedling I tried to plant just vanished.
That was a few days ago and since then I have not encountered this issue again, but also I haven't done much farming since then.

The seedlings do tend to disappear on the edges of the farm plots, so I just stopped planting them near the edges

I have roughly the 1/8th of my plot where the seedlings disappear (roughly room for 35 seedlings) in a triangular pattern

I was having this problem is the areas that i terraformed and then raked farm soil over, solved it by removing the stone underneath and filling it with the farm soil, at least 2 blocks high.
I think the game was considering the floor as stone, cause the farm soil layer was too thin.

yes i too am a disgruntled farmer, how is a farmer to make a decent living, i toil, toil, toil, and all make hard work disaears into thin air. for me it seems more ramdom it can happen anywhere and its very disconcerting they need to fix this.

I am having the same problem, but there was never anything under the soil. I created new plots on the sand terrain and about 50-60% of everything I plant just disappears.

Yup, just had the same thing happen to us today. My Wife is making a forest town, so she did a lot of custom planting of trees everywhere, I'm talking like twice the density of a normal forested area. It was working fine for like the last 1-2 weeks, but today, all of her work for all the fully matured tree's has just vanished. Probably 100-200 tree's are just gone out of her town. Kinda disappointing, but i guess we'll try to replant.

This is on a dedicated / hosted server service. Service has 16 GB of Memory, works otherwise perfectly with 6+ people playing and building on it. First time I've seen this much just disappear from our game.

Actually, it's removed ALL tree's we've planted in ALL towns. All 3 of our heavily built towns are now completely treeless. :(
