You're very smart.
That doesnt change the fact that night isnt meaningfull.
Just an obnoxious mechanic if you wanna use flame alters.
At least Elden Ring had meaningfull stuff at night.
There could be more things in the night that people who go "Night is not (obviously) meaningful! will never see because they don't look.
Except that it does, as more Fell are around at night so it's easier to get Shroud Spores.
If you don't like night, sleep through it just like how many games give that option.
Elden ring has exclusive night content.
And its not like you need a lot of shroud spores anyway.....
I also like that they keep it quite dark, and no comically bright like most games would do.
The blending between dark and bright could be better though. (longer sunsets)
I am getting inspiration from you, thanks
In Conan, it is possible to adjust time od day and night noneoftheless and I will be happy with a slider in seetings like that
Have a good game guys
instead of saying "night is too long"
maybe say "make night more interresting" more enemy spawns at night. more dangerours enemies at night. some night only enemies.
more light sources you can carry and use. let me hold the torch in my OFFHAND. this one is really stupid tbh. i shouldnt be forced to stash my weapon just to see something.
the whisp potion is the only altanative.
make the day to night transition more fluid and natural. it happens way too sudden and quickly. this was a problem reported in the demo already. never got addressed.
And you can get even more at night ..
You might not need those spores, but others do who craft and use the lab set.
Like I said, if its bothering you that much, just sleep through it, its not forced upon you.
You can see what level the shroud is at night MUCH easier. Ie, the deadly red mist areas. You can also see if the area has lots of red water areas (what people are calling lava). And in many shroud areas at night, there's glowing fungi that makes it really easy to see your way around.
Early game I'd only enter the shroud at night.
