Night is too long !
May be would it be cool to reduce, on each player basis, the length of the night ? Personnaly, I find it too long and fun-breaking, as what to do at night? Returning to base and do some craft, may be ? But it is even too long. Just my thought.

Have Stone or Flame Alters with you. Make a shrine and teleport to your base.

Sleep and repair your stuff, unload your garbage, then teleport back. This will give you a reason to repair and clear your inventory and put things away. Nothing is worse then having a loaded inventory anyways. Can't pick anything up.

You're very smart.

That doesnt change the fact that night isnt meaningfull.

Just an obnoxious mechanic if you wanna use flame alters.

At least Elden Ring had meaningfull stuff at night.

Buried treasure glows at night time. It's easier to spot.

You can also farm some of the lower level shroud critters at night.
There could be more things in the night that people who go "Night is not (obviously) meaningful! will never see because they don't look.

True. The shroud does't seem dark at night anyways. A cave with luminescent growth doesn't seem bad ether. The woods are scary and almost had a heart attack a few times from jump scares. Not sure whether I love or hate the horror aspect of that.

You get used to it. If you find it too long, you can always go to bed and nighttime goes 60x faster.

Except that it does, as more Fell are around at night so it's easier to get Shroud Spores.

If you don't like night, sleep through it just like how many games give that option.

Shroud spores are plenty w/o night not sure what you're on about.

Elden ring has exclusive night content.

And its not like you need a lot of shroud spores anyway.....

The night can be used for crafting, base improvement, or hunting some critters that pop up. The bed is the default option to skip the night.
I also like that they keep it quite dark, and no comically bright like most games would do.
The blending between dark and bright could be better though. (longer sunsets)

Thank you for your suggestions guys

I am getting inspiration from you, thanks

In Conan, it is possible to adjust time od day and night noneoftheless and I will be happy with a slider in seetings like that

Have a good game guys

sleep in a bed.... night is over in less than 1 minute.

instead of saying "night is too long"

maybe say "make night more interresting" more enemy spawns at night. more dangerours enemies at night. some night only enemies.

more light sources you can carry and use. let me hold the torch in my OFFHAND. this one is really stupid tbh. i shouldnt be forced to stash my weapon just to see something.
the whisp potion is the only altanative.

make the day to night transition more fluid and natural. it happens way too sudden and quickly. this was a problem reported in the demo already. never got addressed.

You also can log out and log in again, and night is over and a new day begins.

And you can get even more at night ..

You might not need those spores, but others do who craft and use the lab set.

Like I said, if its bothering you that much, just sleep through it, its not forced upon you.

Actually, exploring new shroud areas is easier at night.

You can see what level the shroud is at night MUCH easier. Ie, the deadly red mist areas. You can also see if the area has lots of red water areas (what people are calling lava). And in many shroud areas at night, there's glowing fungi that makes it really easy to see your way around.

Early game I'd only enter the shroud at night.
