I will note that i also restart the server once every 24 hours but this is something i have done with most servers i rent for games like this .
What i have and run on are as followed
1 gb internet (not that this matters much )
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700F CPU @ 3.00GHz 8/8
Motherboard: ASRock B365M IB-R
RAM: 16 GB
Name: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER
Memory: 6 GB
Driver date: 1/12/2024
Driver version: 31.0.15.4665
I hope Devs will look for it, for now Im playing the game in solo mode same for my friends.
possible simple fix, at least provide us with LAN connect or IP.
so we can do something about it, using alternate solution like hamachi etc.
Can you add Hamachi IP to the Steam "Game Servers" list?
I try and play with a friend of mine hosting a world save from his machine as a co-op session (I suspect the way the game does this isn't actually to have the host's client become a server... But haven't tested that theory properly yet), and this is proving to be super frustrating! We can't really afford for either of us to regularly pay for a dedicated option, though it's interesting to see in all these threads that the issues can still occur on non ad-hoc sessions...
My buddy didn't initially understand what was going on, but then he played on another friend's server and had the same symptoms. I'd been thinking that I was having the issues because my hardware was not playing nice with something they had in the net code (I'm only running a Ryzen 5 2600), but he's got a rig in/near top-tier, so while I guess it is client-code related it appears hardware agnostic 🫤
It means trying to fight with anything other than the wand is suicide 😖
Seems mad to me that this is likely the issue going to have the most impact on wherher anyone considers the game playable or not, yet the Devs haven't even put a side comment in any of their Comms that it's been noticed. If there was something affecting frame rates or state desyncs in SP to this degree, the critic reviews would be slating the game!
I do love playing Enshrouded in single player and also in MP when things are smooth, so I do hope they acknowledge this and fix it soon!
Perhaps they just don't know how to fix it. But with all the money they made from sales, they can definitely afford to hire someone who knows how to fix it.
they and the streamer sold this as a multiplayer survival game. but in reality, the multiplayer isn't in a good condition.
in our group, we are down from 6 players to only 2 remaining. and now we don't use the dedicated server anymore. i client hosted it while using vpn to my friends country. this is the best way to do it for now.
it's a good game with bad multiplayer experience
