Can I play tis game alone / is there a story?
Im asking myself wether i can enjoy this game by playing it myself. If there is a full story to follow, or progress to keep going alone.

yes, there is a story, but it is more of a history. Quest lines keep you moving forward. I have enjoyed playing it solo. There are aspects that may irritate some (the fact that the world refreshes areas you are not in to include any damage/digging in the area), but I have enjoed the ride so far even if the next time I log in, I have a long run ahead of me to get my stuff because I didn't create a nearby spawn point.

If you require a traditional "story told through main quests" approach, then Enshrouded isn't going to give you what you want. It's largely environmental storytelling through lore notes scattered across POIs in the world as well as tidbits you get from the NPC craftspeople.

As far as solo, if you can solo in games like Valheim, you shouldn't have a problem in Enshrouded.

Currently Lvl 22 and I am solo on a dedicated server. Game is a blast and the best base building I have seen yet. Just wish I could sit on chairs.

I am 25 and basically solo and I am having a blast with exploration, grinding out things needed to build mega structures and decorate, as well as finding the lost history. it's a blast if that is your type of game. Think Valheim, play at your pace

I've spent 50 hours exclusively playing solo, so yes. Story is mostly found in journals and the lore is pretty predictable and a tad bit tired (Self caused ecosystem destruction has been done to death), but the gameplay is good and progression is perfectly fine. There's a good amount of quests to go through. You start them by either finding new areas, reading journals or talking to your npcs. New areas have new materials that let your craft better things. The level system feels pretty good. The game is area scaled, so loot and enemy level is tied to placement, not your level. That helps with a feeling of progression.
