For the people who say that buyers should look at the minimum system requirements: Most games don't prohibit you from opening the app because they are below the minimum requirements and often you will still be able to play even if they are slightly below the minimum requirements, If the application doesn't even allow you to open the game below the minimum requirements, the devs DO need to add a warning on the store page...

It's fairly clear all they need to do is change minimum specs to 32GB RAM which should fix the problem.

there is a workaround the devs posted, also the minimum requirements is the warning.

Yes, the devs should really do that if the minimum requirements are very important, like it seems.

16gb ram of ddr 4 on 3200speed no issues here played it today after the patch..I would say all those guys with issues don't have enough Vram on their GPu's.

Please stop stating things that are not true. There are work a rounds for these errors, many in fact. Use the weird thing called "google search" ... just wow, is all I can say.

And why has it worked perfectly on devices with 8Gb RAM so far?
I have 32Gb and no problems.
Known issue
"Not enough system memory available" error message on game start
This error message triggers when your machine has under 16GB of RAM. It is there to warn you that your experience will probably be pretty bad.
You can bypass by adding "--disable-ram-check" to the game's launch options via Steam to ignore the warning. Keep in mind that if your computer is below specs, it might not be able to run the game in the long run, once we've added all the features we have in mind for Enshrouded!

So then please, do tell us what it does mean. ...because most of us would consider "don't buy software that your hardware can't handle" to be pretty sage advice.

For the record, my system has 32GB RAM, and Enshrouded is currently hanging for me today for the very first time ever. I'll gladly turn off the above check even though I clearly dont need it.

Think there may be something else going on. My system meets all required specs for "recommended".

Sometimes a PC will have a problem with accessing all of its RAM. It's rare, but you should run some diagnostics to check that everything is working as expected. It can even work in 99% of situations, but Enshrouded has its own custom engine so it is (probably) doing things no other game does.

would stop low end machines from lagging out everyone, or dragging the better ones down.

Well, it crashed again after putting in their extra setting, and the dump does show its a memory error. One that I was NOT getting yesterday, and since my system hasnt changed I still think this goes directly upon them. I am verifying my games file integrity, making sure stema is up to date, and check my drivers, and will restart the system, etc.... after that its on them, so fingers crossed.
