Cant you rename your bases?

Like editing the name that appears on default when you place a flame altar.

I got half a dozen and would like to rename each one, as if one is a "mining outpost", one "main base" etc

You can always find your main base as it should be a higher flame level e.g. "Home Base 3" rather than teleport altars which are all "Home Base 1". And yeah, renaming waypoints and temp altars would be very helpful. For now, just take several pick axes with you and mine the death out of a node so you don't have to return for a long time lol

for the record if you have a flame that is level 4 already you can purchase all other flame altar upgrades for Cores just a heads up ;)

The ability to rename bases and markers is on the roadmap. So, its coming :)

Yeah renaming bases is already in the game. Press R when interacting with a flame to rename a base. As for map markers - that ain't out yet, but I'd suspect I'll see it soon.
