I placed my second altar can i pick it up it wont let undo

Interact with it, select Extinguish Flame and wait 30 seconds

You can't pick it up but you can break it using the "extinguish" option when you interact with it. You'll have to craft another one though.

ok thanks i only put it down in case i fell in battle i wouldn have run my base back

when you upgrade you home flame to lvl 6. you can place 8 in total - the one in you home. so 7 . it only cast you 5 stone to make one. and yes it is a great ideer to just put one down and delete it if you run away. same time its also a great way to go home to get rested and or if you need a break and dont want to close game. as all outside you flame area will be reset.
