Floating Wall Lights/Torches?

Hello,
I am trying to mount two Firefly lanterns to the lentils of my double doors, but when I walk closer I can see them "floating" about, what would be 6-12 inches in game, away from the surface of the door frame. Is this because it's not an actual wall? If so, would that be something the devs could fix? Would be nice to mount whatever wall illumination we like to a door frame. Thx!

You can do a few things.

One you can try removing the door putting a wall there then place your lanterns. Then remove the wall and put the door back it should not care if they clip a little

You can also toggle off the Snap (x) this sometimes give you a bit better control over the placement of items

you can combine the too if you want also turning the snapping off gives you a bit more control of the door placement little you slide it around a little
