Display locked in 800x600 after a PC restart tonight
Hello,

I have had no issues with the game at all since I downloaded it last Sunday January 28th. I have been playing for almost 80 hours so far without a single crash. This Sunday, February 4th, I had been playing all day until a Windows 10 Update needed a restart of my PC. As it booted back up to the Home screen, there was a quick message about a hardware change and needing another restart which I thought was strange as I hadn't changed any hardware.

When I loaded up the game again, the login screen looked smaller but then the game loading screen looked normal. After loading in, the game window is locked in the upper left of my display at what looks like 800 x 600 resolution though the map and all other screens are fine at my native 2560 x 1440. I verified the game files twice through Steam and even uninstalled and reinstalled and nothing works. I have tried setting my monitor to 1920 x 1080 resolution and when I try to switch the resolution ingame from the Settings screen it crashes. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'd start with checking your graphics card for an update. Likely there is an update that needs to be applied.
If that doesn't work I'd look into checking if your computer is actually seeing your GPU. Sometimes updates end up conflicting and Windows will default to a generic PnP driver for whatever is having an issue.

Issue resolved. I had checked that all AMD drivers were up to date along with my BIOS before troubleshooting. Tried some of the solutions from the Valheim forums where this was an issue a couple years ago but no config.txt to edit.

I run the game on a 32" MSI 2K monitor with a 28" second monitor. I right clicked on desktop and made the second display the main display. Hit accept and loaded the game. Game ran fine with no display issues. Quit to desktop and went back and made the 32" back as the main display. Loaded up the game and ran full screen fine at 1080 resolution. Used the settings to set in-game resolution to 2560 and worked fine.

Don't know why or how it worked but solved my issues.

Thanks all.
