High Cost - Low Damage
I have hit 25, Ive got basically every Ranger, Assassin Survivor ability unlocked, using food and potions my Dex can get over 20, yet the bow is still extremely weak; Even using Iron Arrows. Backstab crit bonus helps a little, but its still shockingly low for the time and effort to use the bow. I have two different legendary level 25 bows maxed out and their damage is only 25 with no way to increase them. But I have to spend a good chunk of time farming resources no other class has to do, just to be able to use the weapons.

I've spent about an hour now non-stop chopping small trees to get twigs to make an abundance of arrows so I can have a stock pile, because the last 400, thats right, 400 IRON arrows I made, were burnt in one area getting the legendary glider. Meanwhile, the wizard/spellcasters can farm out the resources to make eternal spells and essentially NUKE everything they fight in one to maybe two hits.

Early thru mid game the Archer wasnt bad, it had its issues, but you could still put out damage and be useful with scrap and copper arrows. But end game right now? Copper and scrap arrows simply wont do it, but then to get the Iron arrows and still need a literal metric ton of them to be competitive is a bit ridiculous....especially considering no other class has to farm like the Archer does.

What I also found confusing and strange is the "assassin" tree has more explosive abilities than actual sneaking and stealth kill abilities. Literally the entire end of the Assassin tree is explosive related.

I believe there needs to be a significant buff to the Bows, a nerf to the wizard/spellcaster and ideally a way to turn logs into twigs at the carpenter. Planting Shrubs doesnt give nearly enough twigs so its not much of a feasible option unless I want to plant a whole forest of them.

Bows definitely need a buff - and maybe a way for infinite arrows like eternal spells. They need a way to turn one arrows into a multi-shot or rain of arrows. Lets not nerf staffs/wands though =0 buff the lowest is a much better strategy than nerfing the strongest option.
Arrow cost is too high.
I'd switch to longbows, longer drawtime, but higher dmg. The best i've found are 35 dmg and +14 fire dmg, its only an epic. The 2 legendary shortbows gain +10 shroud and the other +10 shroud, +5 piercing.
In general, the green skilltree seems rather weak/situational.

Magic is way too powerful at the current cap.

Bows and Melee and very under powered compared to Magic right now. I started to put some points into the magic tree to deal with bad matchups for melee...at 16str and 8int my fireball is hitting for 3-4x more than my melee swings with full warrior tree, all but 2 str nodes, and a fully upgraded level 25 legendary noble sword, and all other gear having melee related buffs to damage and crit. The only magic skills I have points in are the quick staff charge and the 2 fire damage bonus skills...I have like 1 hard point in int...if I grabbed all the int nodes I bet I would be easily be hitting for 5x what I could get with melee without even using any caster armor.

I agree, I would like to see the weakest options brought up to match the strongest. At the current cap, bows & melee are almost powerless in the Kindlewaste zone (level 30 enemies). But, I made a new character, loaded him into my original server and gave him magic items and gear and at 10, I was easily destroying the level 30 characters with NO issue other than I couldn't get hit or I'd die, which wasn't an issue as I killed everything fast enough.

The assassin tree needs a complete rework to be more stealth and backstabbing oriented. As for the explosive skills in it, just make an artilerist tree.

My ranger with the maxed legendary bow and deerstalker armor couldn't compete with Magic and the max with a hunter bow damage I seen was 672 on an effective crit. Meanwhile, my buddy was hitting for 940's with fireball 2.
don't chop trees for twigs, plant bushes instead, they give 2-4 plant fibre and 0-2 twigs each and you can just run through a field of these with e pressed. Then use the plant fibre to make more seedlings.
Magic is just way stronger in this game esp with wands and the other things should be brought up .

Acid spray is just crazy good once you get it to eternal

we only have the first third of the game, let them work on getting the rest out before crying for buffs / nerfs. who knows (besides the devs) what the true end game for the current weapons will bring. All this could mean nothing in the next "chapters".
the "easiest" way to farm twigs is looking for a wolf den an mine the sh*t out of it. still you need a truckload of twigs, especially with short bows.
So halving the amount of twigs needed for a arrow craft and going down to 3 feathers from 5 would, at least for me, already be a huge QoL buff for my archer build.

You can also mine for twigs, just find one of those round dens and get your pick axe out, they are pure twig lol. One nest should get you several hundred. Plenty of them in the desert biome with tigers inside.

Another pure archer said they tested the different arrows and did not find much of a difference between them so I would look at a max damage bow 35? and try lower tier arrows.
the bigger issue is not so much the relative power of the 'builds' but how spongy enemies get at the current 'end game' everything takes so many hits and become an chore attrition battle

Acid Spray aka Acid Bite was confirmed by devs to be bugged so once corrected we'll be seeing that damage drop a ton. Right now, it's definitely OP, you can kill lv.30 bosses in one to two spell cast.

My health regen crits sometimes which was a surprise haha.

Looking forwards to the balance changes.
The only thing i can complain about so far, beeing at level 12... twigs twigs twigs, hell, if you want twigs for arrows at least give me a ressource that mostly produces twigs. I would gladly plant it. Or double up on the amount of twigs we get from bushes - would be fine too.
