Lag on good pc
I have 16GB of RAM, a AMD Ryzen 9 5900X and a NVidia Geforce RTX 3070 TI, yet on "ulltra performance" settings I get very bad lag and freezing.. Does anyone have the same problem or potentially a fix, or is this an optimization thing?

Unfortunately, 16GB of ram is no longer "good", modern games require 32 to be above medium. You might just need to lower your settings, sorry man.

But it says 16GB Ram is minimum and even recommended. And I can't lower my settings more, they are on the lowest. Would be stupid to write on the store page that the system requirements are 16GB if you'll struggle at 16GB

This is false. There isn't a single game in existence that uses anywhere near 32GB of ram. Not even remotely close. The problem is the potato for an engine this game was made with.

Same problem here.
Good pc, high fps but stutter like hell.

Reinstalled the game and it got smooth.
closed the game, came back and the stutter was back too.

Reinstalled the game again, and stutter was there from the start menu.

I will wait for patches, cause it's a known problem with many people.

IT IS NOT PC RELATED!

Try capping it to 60fps in your gfx card control panel. It sorted nye on most of my stuttering. This is (hopefully) a temporary solution untill the devs can optimize it way more :)

Works fine for me and I have 32gig ram, not sure if that is making a difference but there you go.....can't help with anything else
cheers

Fix stutter on my end. Turned vsync on fast in Nvidia control panel. And in game I turn off sync. Run a bit and turn vsync back on. And stutter is gone remaining my play period.

Ryzen 7 5000 series GPU, 16 GB CPU RAM, Nvidia RTX 3060 with 6 GB VRAM, mid level internet speed shared with 2 others, zero lag or stuttering.

Does the game need optimizing, most likely, not as bad as so many make it out to be.

Adjust your game settings, adjust the GPU settings, adjust CPU settings.

Anything else in the background running other than Steam, any updates running the background, check for viruses, among other things which can cause problems.

No, that's wrong.

For enthusiasts maybe. But they are not the pack leaders regarding game development.
16 gb is still standard and the amount of RAM games usually get optimised for.
It's 8 gb that's the absolute minimum for most games.

32gb is just a nice to have, and it's recommended for a few games or if you use a lot of mods.
But 16gb is still good enough for the vast majority of games. I barely need more than 12-14 gb in games + browser.

I'm still using a founders edition 1080 and have 32GB of ram and had everything on high quality for a good few hours of playing with a constant 50-60 fps. Then I started getting FPS drops (around 30fps) and random flickers from light sources so I dropped everything to max performance and it literally didn't change anything. Maybe just needs a bit more optimizing?

Thats not true

Returnal requires 16gb of ram DDR4

Star citizen you cant use since they are changing ♥♥♥♥ since day one.

Galactic Civilizations 3

Ram requirements is RAM: 6 GB. ( Lmfao )

Microsoft flight sim is true

RAM: 32 GB

Ark survival

is thru 32 GB but that's because of the million DLC they add.

Icarus recommends

32gb but you can play at 16gb.

DCS is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because you need to buy DLC to just play other ♥♥♥♥.. so that's out the window LOL

Hi, I had the same problem as you all, for the fix I deleted all the shaders from the game (view the link i use this for delete all), then I waited for everything to download WITHOUT BEING IN THE GAME. stayed in the menu while it downloads
