What's up with Wispwyvern!?!
What's up with Wispwyvern disappearing or resetting during combat?

It seams that every time i try fighting he wyvern and i jump or jump glide, the wyvern disappears and i have to leave the arena and start over again, so it looks like the only way to fight this thing is to go toe to toe, which leaves me at a big disadvantage as an archer, i had no problem fighting the other boss by staying up high and out of reach, but it looks like the devs/dm is cheating by teleporting the wyvern out of he match if you leave the arena floor,(very disappointing and bad form on the part of the dev's/dm) :(

youre mad you cant cheese the boss by sitting outside the area to shoot him??

I attempted this on my first try actually. Skirted around and went in through a window then climbed up and jumped/glided down to the wall by the checkpoint thing. Was working well then poof! He's no picnic but as long as you can wipe out the bugs before they eat you then do some damage, he telegraphs his moves consistently. Once you have them down, he's not gonna be an issue. You got this. Took me awhile to get it, and if my old arthritic butt can do it, anyone can.

A lot of mobs and bosses can be dealt with without taking a risk. I like to do just that, as I mostly play solo and my character rather on the weak side is. So I understand that complaint.

But devs cheating? No... oh no, do not say that. Unless you wish to open pandora's trolling box.

Well there is actually a way to defeat this boss, not exactly fighting toe to toe, but not utterly evading it, making the whole thing a proper... wait for it... BOSS FIGHT!!!

When he starts to call for reinforcement (that is, the heavy dmg dealing but else crappy and much annoying bugs), looking like he is about to spit some flame into the air, you, as an archer that should please you much, should aim for its mouth. That should stun him for a while, disable its resistances, and making the fight A LOT shorter and easier.

You might have observed by the way - or like me, not until I faced him for the 3rd or so time - that there are multiple spots on his body, that the auto-aim seem to target. That was supposedly a clue for the whole tactic... I guess.

Thank you for your feedback, hopefully they will make it so the other bosses cannot be cheesed like this one. Next time play the game properly, it's already very easy.

You can actually fight him from the walls without him vanishing but kinda takes the fun out of it.

the whispwyvern can be fought like every dragon in a lot of games. just standing under it and hitting the hindlegs or the tail then just dogde out of the stuff that can hit you. no reason to cheese

Shoot him in the mouth when he stands up and breathes in.
He will drop to the floor and remain stunned for 10 seconds.
Run in, swing your two handed mace around, dealing massive damage to him and the beetles closing in on you. (multi kill !)
Run clear of him after about 8 seconds and start dodging his attacks, until he breathes in again.
Rinse.
Repeat.
Quick victory.

For some reason the wyvern has no tail sweep or atleast from what i seen so yeah its pretty easy to stand under it like previous poster said i killed it at lvl 7 on my warrior alt with a 1h/shield but yeah its twinked in the lvl 25 stuff i was doing like 250-300 a hit with a 1h

There is also a room at the end of the arena away from where he spawns, closed off by double doors. You can use a pick to destroy the doors, and level the area inside. It is a small room with another set of double doors at the other end. Plenty of room to move around, but a small entrance to funnel the mobs. Also, at this point, it does not appear he is able to break the walls, so he can not fit inside. And, he does not despawn unless you go clear to the other set of double doors.

While I find it to be easy and also finding cheesing enemies is kind of lame... Enshrouded is a builder game and not Elden Ring, so locking you up in the arena is a weird choice.
What would have made more sense, is if his attacks destroyed stuff and if he could fly around some, so if the player tried to cheese it he would just fly around calling in little bugs that can hunt the player, flushing the player out.

I had to fight this boss 5 times to succeed. I was not dying. At about 80% health the boss teleports and ends up embedded in a wall or a column etc.
At that point fight over, you can hear boss but not see. No loot, reset try again.
In order to beat boss, i fought in the middle of the room. Kept boss in the open, away from the pillars etc. This worked for me.

He's quite difficult when you're fighting normally. But once you learn his patterns, things become easier. Shoot him in the mouth with arrows when he's charging to stun him, then you can run up to him and use melee weapons on him.

Or cast Acid Spray and watch him die in a few seconds.

I didn't have that, I fought it twice. The first time I died because I didn't have any health potions left.

Later on I just kept pumping his head with arrows, which is not that easy as you have to manually aim at it. Though what you have to do is let him do his attack first, which is either that Breath attack or the area of effects he rains from the sky.
I just dodged either of those two, then aimed for the head. There was plenty of time to get a few arrows out, if he breaks down there are bugs spawning, otherwise keep aiming for the head. I think if there where no bugs spawning it would fit the fight better, the bugs are kind of evil to fight without melee as they swarm you pretty good.
