OK I'm level 20 now, still love the game but the weapons that come out of chests is not balanced - AM I THE ONLY ONE?!

I'm still using the bronze sword I found at like level 5 to 8 - the only swords that I get are rusty short swords off the fell or regular short swords off the vahkur dudes (however you spell it)

I found one bronze sword behind where I got the blacksmith and I upgraded to a higher level bronze sword not very long after that at all and then I never saw another sword again.

EVERY CHEST THAT I OPEN has a freaking wand, a bow, or a staff in it, every once in a while I get a 2 handed mace or 2 handed axe but I have not seen a sword in ages! I swear I'm still using a level 10 sword because I upgraded to 10 from level 5 or 8 or something.

I'm about to record a vid of just going around not getting swords.

doing a full chest run in the south east part of the map instead of just the 2 and reset game from a video, i'm sure its faster just to do that but we don't know if all the loot has different tables or what not.

It seems the shroud boss in the lower east part of the map near the 2 matrons has a different loot table when I do it.

Really hope they add gear sets and the ability to upgrade rarity and rng enchantments on crafted and found gear would be neat.

Hailscourge - Epic (?) - found as part of quest - Level 15

Yeah Ive literally only found 2 swords until i got into a level 30 area. I didn't look anything online like you probably did to find exact locations of things. Thanks for the toxic reply. Itl be my last discussion on this game.

Hailscourge is in a grave that you have to dig up. ESO has a YouTube video ("Enshrouded Tips - Best Sword to get Early!") detailing how to get it... it is near Balthasar's tower, where you go to get his mortar.

One remedy to this might be that every few levels the crafting folks should be able to craft an uncommon weapon close to your level, that has one upgrade slot. This should help until you get a new epic or legendary. Maybe they can even request you give them an epic weapon, so they can reforge it?

you most have the worst luck or you leveled to 20 without going far out.

Each biome/zone has a sort of level range it loot comes from. The more north/East from start you go the better the loot drops can be.

Also look for those glowing silver and gold chest for better loot

Also read all the glowy papers, srcolls, books, signs, if it glows read it. these sometimes give you a sort of tresure hunt type of quest and often these seem to have better loot in their chest.

there is also hidden and buried chests all over the place. so if something seems sus dig a little or toss a couple of bombs sometimes you will get lucky

loot ornate gold chests inside flame 6 zone area. youll always get a epic or legendary weapon or level 25 armor from this chest. never below that quality for weapons. reroll chest till you get a weapon you can use.... rng loot is trash. ruins the game currently. it also makes all crafted stuff worthless that isnt a tool.

final glider is also not crafted.

Yeah true the armor sets seem to be the least rarest since they're almost always there but luckily found this sword so far for good melee

They really need to nerf some of the RNG retardation with something like rolling twice for weapons, then picking the one that's closest to the skills you have.

It's just soo silly how often you get the opposite gear of whatever build you have.

There's almost certainly a bug that is making swords not drop, I'm affected by it also. Level 15 and I've seen only two or three, very early on, and they all do absolutely garbage damage. Bow, staffs, bow staffs, almost 100%. Every now and then a 2h melee (which are absolutely useless in this game.)
