Then there are some legendary swords, including a lvl 15 one, Hailscourge, that delivers good damage equally spread to all 3 damage types and also glows in the dark which makes it useful for exploring. Just don't ask me where I got it. ^^"
Then about the drops: I also got the feeling that staves/wands are over represented, but that might be biased because we got no mage on our server. In order to say something meaningful here, we would need to make an excel sheet and fill in drops there. The more drops are getting in, the easier it would be to say if a weapon type is really over represented.
That excel sheet would also say much more about your drop issues than a video.
Just find ya a nice area with silver/gold chests in the enemy level you can handle, mark em on map, and restart farm till ya get something worth a sht.
Kinda sucks, kinda cheesy, but it is what it is, gotta do it to farm the end game gear regardless.
That said I've not found any level of legendary wand yet.
Read that the brute in pikemead give a staff but after a few visits they only ever game melee blues and as my character is at the current level cap the only reason to return is to get head from the boss.
My mate and me on the other hand have already scapped over a dozen legendary wands until now (lvl 23, did the first steps into the desert yesterday).
Like already said, what we would need to make a call here (in stead talking about feelings) is someone (or a group) of players who record every weapon drop from chests for some time. The bigger the number of records, the more accurate the result.
I'm level 16 and have two blue Wolfs Maw (lvl 25) swords (one as backup)
How can you possibly be level 20 and still have a lvl 10 sword???
Wailing Blade - Legendary - found as part of quest - Level 8
Enhanced Spiked Club - Common - available at blacksmith after maybe copper? - Level 11
Hailscourge - Epic (?) - found as part of quest - Level 15
Wolfs Maw - Random - found inside capital city area - Level 25
Seriously, what are you doing? Do the side quests.
1 is at the very deep fog iron mine the blacksmith points you towards
2 is at a scavenger camp on the south-almost south east edge of the map with 2 silver and 1 gold chests
3 has a spare gold (tomb) and silver chest along side the best glider in the game in the far south-east corner of the map.
