Does death bag stay in the world on log off/on?

Ugggh.. Just died way far out exploring like an idiot... Can I just log off and make the journey later? or will that delete my recoverable items?

Edit: Technically it is not a bag, but your Tombstone... Might as well add this for accuracy.

Never tested it - but the good news: If you die in a shroud/lava ore something you can hardly reach, your bag is always at the rim of the bad area, so no problem to reach it.

I had a bag go missing after a long time because it was in deadly shroud and i had to upgrade to get it back.

Yes, I found that one out the stupid way by flying into the shroud unknowingly lol

Hmmm, explain? You are saying that upgrading your alters is what allows you to enter the sketchy death shrouds or?

Yes you can log out with a tombstone up and it will be up when you start the game world back up again.

I tested this yesterday.

Most of it, yes, it becomes no longer deadly shroud. Its level gated. The red floor stuff as well as some on the borders stays lethal.
