There was a cool tavern in the wilderness, does anyone know where it is?

I was exploring a couple days ago and I found some area called "**** Tavern" I don't remember the first word, but it was a large lone building on a hill.

It was definitely "tavern" as the second word though.

I want to move out of my little tower and restore that tavern and make it into my base, but I completely forgot where it is, and it's not got a label on the map like some other locations get after you discover them (I should have marked it myself of course but I wasn't thinking about base locations at the time)

I know it was in a green area, not the desert or savanna, it might have had shroud below it? i'm not 100% the tavern itself was not in any shroud though.



It's a long shot that someone remembers this location, but i'm hoping maybe someone else actually has this as their own base and could tell me.

was the ground floor the kitchen and the 2nd floor with several tables with skeletons at them?

No, the ground floor was pretty wide open, it had a kitchen, but it was full of tables and stuff, upstairs had some bedrooms and there was a basement area too.

Do you mean the Blue Goblet Tavern? One of the best environment/interior designs in the game world (kudos to the level designer). It is situated NW from Revelwood Ancient Spire.

You can turn most places into your base, the building system was made for restoring ruins and damaged buildings, the way it works let you make seamless repairs.

you can't place a base at a few places, like the fast travel towers or the capital Pikemeads Reach, but you can claim any of the smaller villages just fine,

I took a town called "Thornhold" from scavengers, a level 3 alter in the middle of the town covers all the walls surrounding it, i dismantled all the scavs metal and wood structures and plan to rebuild it all using the original blocks of the ruined buildings.

I might even set up each building as a specific shop type for the craftsmen and move out of the Blue Goblet Tavern, such a big building job to restore the town would be an end of quest progression target for me anyway.

Took over The Blue Goblet last night... I'm in the process of renovating it from the damages.

I just need to save the world and repopulate and then, profit... Lol.

I just found the Blue Goblet and ti is a COOL tavern. large base floor, an office on the third floor, two balconies and best fo all your flame lights up the palce. It is amazing :D

Yes Blue Goblet Tavern is amazing...first time I saw it I knew it was my base for the rest of the game...be sure to look around carefully as there are some neat little treats.

You can turn any building/town/ city into you're base. Also along with the comfort lvl of said place. im lvl 16 and clearing out the 3 tables on the first floor of blue goblet tavern. Putting down a flame shrine in the middle of the floor gave me comfort lvl of 20 without touching a single brick.

I wanted to pick a house in the capital to turn into a kind of "safe haven"

I know it's mechanically not required, I just liked the idea of a single house being fortified, lit and warmed in that shroud decimated area.

Sadly i couldn't place a flame alter anywhere in the city to do that.

I did however decide not to move into the blue goblet tavern despite finding it again thanks to this post, I killed all the scavs and took over the town of Thornhold

Comes with a well too. Blue Goblet is an excellent base location. Nearby copious clay, red trees (for resin), and even nut trees. The area around Blue Goblet is my go to for those resources.
