Tips for mining/farming Luminous Growth?

I love the lighting of it so I've begun my farm for it but it's awful. Need 5 for 1 building block. I'm currently using a bronze pickaxe and the average is 4-5 swings for 1 piece (sometimes 2 or 3 if the mining perk procs). Do any higher end pickaxes decrease the amount of swings to get 1 piece and/or are there any accessories, armor, or buffs that help with the farm?

If the luminous growth are terrain blocks, then in theory you can use the rake to multiply it by placing it on a high ground and then standing on it and raking it onto empty space to expand it.

And yes for mining, pickaxe has a damage value and better ones hits for more damage.

it's 5 luminous for one batch of 100 so the numbers aren't quite as bad as you seem to think.

Mining anything gets easier with better picks, also don't ignore the skills that boost mining damage and to reduce durability wear by 50%.
