How many hit points do I have?
Couple of questions....

- Is there any way to know how MANY hit points your character has? So many things that say (+50 hit points... heals +200....etc.)
But... WHY doesn't it show up what are hit point is? And/or how many remaining we have (when we're injured). NEVER played a video game that I recall that shows this - no where..

- Second... is there any way to tell what time of the day it is? Going outside and looking for the sun to see where it's at... is a pretty terrible way to gauge this.

- Third... I've got almost 10 hours in the game, and still level 5. (edit.. just looked, over 15 hours). I'm slow AF apparently! LOL
So, the question is, how far have you gotten leveled up, in how many hours? (roundabouts..)

Really the first two are all I really would like answers for atm.

Thanks

For your first question. I believe the default key is "N" for keyboard. Whatever shows your character and his/her gear. Then I think on the left side there is a button that says something like "stat attributes" or something like that.

On that screen it shows each stat. Strength, dexterity, spirit...etc. I believe under those listings is "Health" "Mana" "Stamina" I think. Am not in game or I would give you a more certain and detailed answer am sorry. But wanted to at least respond with something. There certainly is a screen with that info.

As for #'s 2 and 3. Will just speak briefly on #3. This is just my humble opinion but I don't believe it is any sort of race. Like at this many hours you need to be this far progressed and at this level. Being slow is fine. Are you enjoying what you are doing when playing? In my humble opinion that is what matters. I can be totally content just exploring and gathering resources.

Especially in single player go at YOUR pace that you enjoy. How others play doesn't make how you do or how fast you advance and more or less valid.

Hope this is of some value. Sorry it got long.:steamhappy:

Check the Character > Attributes sheet. Health, Stamina and Mana along with other stats are listed out there.

Gauge by the general lighting. There really isn't fog/dusk/dawn in the game. So honestly it's pretty clear what time of day it is especially if you aren't down in a cave or in the shroud.

You gain disproportionately more experience per minute from mining ores and minerals than you do from killing enemies.

Ah! Thanks! I looked over that character sheet several times and never noticed the "vitals" section.

Thanks for all that. Yes, I'm taking my time. No hurries. I'll probably have 500+ hours in on just this one character before I move on to something else. I always come back too.

Kind of stuck on the table saw part right now. That area to go to get the saw blades is out of my characters skill ATM. Kind of would like to get that item, so I can make the medium chests... oh well.

I'll do as the other poster said and mine some. Could always use that stuff anyway.

Thanks! Having a blast so far

Pro Tip: I used a tower i grappled up to and its barricades to kill the Matron (the big fat ogre at the end of the bridge near the sawblade) I did this around your level and the only thing that gave me actual grief was those poison clever wielding jerks but placing a Flame Altar out the front of the camp so i could respawn close solved that riddle.

Don't be afraid to construct a quick flame altar nearby to a major objective to give you a respawn/fast travel point.
