Little flying light that lights up the lamp post?

When I enter some areas, theres this little wooshing light that goes into the light posts. Is this indicating something for me? Or is this just to show an area of interest? Or just to light the area for me lol

I think they are when your at a active quest site area, the purple wisp like lights you are talking about right? I just had them light torches also and honestly do not recall that happening before...perhaps we unlocked something or was added with patch?

Hmm Im not sure! no active quest in the area. But it is a POI marker on the map. So that must be indicating that

I am just guessing as I recall those lights were around since I started, and coincided with where the tutorial was taking me.

it's roughly a guide or "next possible thing" indicator. there's a lot of world to get lost and distracted in, and this helps roughly point the nose. as far as i can tell, it's not based on quest state or anything like that, it's just always on. sometimes it's even for underground stuff too.

Um.... that's the flame. The entitiy that talks to you from the moment you start the game? Literally flies out to light the first point 2 seconds after you start and then talks to you.... Does no one pay attemtion to anything?

It's tied into your character being 'Flameborn'.
It can definitely lead your way through the shroud as well as signify POI,
but yea.
