Camera and FPS
After the hotfix the camera when moving it SLOWLY is clearly fixed. Moving it fast even at 150+ fps with a high refresh rate monitor it is choppy.

This isnt stutter as FPS stays the same.

Maybe a few more hotfixes till its gone.

I have no clue why people have stutters, but I am running it on a very good machine. My framerate is capped at 160 fps because I have a 165hz monitor. Lowest I've seen it go is 120.

I do see when monitoring my system that the CPU utilisation is 10-20% and GPU 10-80% when in-game. The GPU goes up and down between those ranges frequently. Which might explain the stutters on lower end pc's.

Also capped at 60 fps and feels smooth.

350fps with GPU at 98% and still not a smooth experience (still with forced freesync)

Game really needs an optimisation

Read the post again carefully.. I stated it isnt a stutter as FPS doesnt change but continues to feel slowed down or choppy on the camera side of things which the patch was trying to fix but it only fixed slowly moving the camera FPS feel vs fast movements.

It seems that the mouse movement or camera position runs at 60fps speed. Limiting fps to 60 looks the same as 160fps on a 280Hz monitor. You can see difference when limiting fps to lower than 60, but not when limited to higher value.

Pretty much this. It's improved from the hotfix but you get diminishing results the higher frames you get but at 60 its much smoother than on release.

I do not have this issue, I'll try running it at 60fps instead of 160fps and see if I notice it.

Move your camera slowly like a cinematic and you'll see/feel a difference between that and moving it normally while playing/faster in general.

Remember the keybind in minecraft on optifine that allowed you to zoom in or slow the camera follow speed for making vids back in the day showcasing builds? It feels like we have to do that to get the most out of our game atm.

Is it that that makes it difficult to keep the camera moving at a more constant speed? Like when I focus on trying to maintain a constant slow speed it kinda goes like slow, fast, slow, fast? If so, then now I do see it. It's an odd thing tho and I don't really notice a difference between 160 and 60 fps. But thanks for the info, while I do notice it now, I also understand the "It's not a stutter, it's choppy" thought.

I'm shocked. the person says that with stable FPS, the camera itself lags a lot, and they start saying something about the frequency of monitors. Take a walk around the world and see for yourself that with 60 frames locked, the camera will behave like 20-25 frames, although the FPS does not drop
