Bed category's are not consistent.

If you look at the beds you can create you start with the Crude Matras that gives a comfort level off +1.
You can upgrade that to a Crude wooden bed with comfort level +2
At some point how ever you have a Carpenter crafstman that is able to create a Wooden bed where you need lots of matarials for but that is also +2 comfort?
Bed looks much better, needs more materials but fals in the same category as the Crude bed so pointless to make I think.
Maybe they overlooked this at Keen? To my opnion the Wooden Bed from the carpenter should have a comfortlevel of +3

I remember noticing this but I didn’t investigate it too closely. If I recall though the original +2 comfort bed requires the +1 bed as a material. I think I just figured the carpenter skips that extra crafting step with his version. Again, I didn’t read it super closely.

If you look at the bed's more closely you see the Crude beds you notice you first create a matras and then the bed with the matras in it.
The carpenters bed however is more complex and luxury, hence should be a higher comfort lvl.

Yep furniture will need balance pass , and some crafting recipe as well , and some items durability - hope they increase it on higher tire items rare / legendary - as play in majority Solo and find myself constantly searching for anvils - witch pulls me away from my intended task ... ( not that big problem if you play in group of 2-3 players ) ...

I noticed a fair amount of furniture doesn't even give comfort. Decor only. It's fine I suppose but if feels weird when some categories give it and others don't.
