deadly shroud

if i fell off a a cliff while fighting into deadly shroud with quest items on my corpse, do i have to just start over on a new world? no way to summon corpse or anything right?

If you fell of a cliff, your body is at the edge of the cliff. The game doesn't plop yourstuff in red shroud, least I've never had it happen.

Just be aware that if it happens to be a steep slope you might slide off the edge again.

yes i fell off a cliff and no my body isn't at the top. it is at the bottom. oh well

no . if you die. some of the item will be dropt where u died.. so if u was on a cliff side. and fall down. it might be on the cliff side just b4 u fall down.. but if you in the red fog. upgrade you flame alter. but ofc somtime that happens , and u still alive when u hit the wall and dies right after.. then u item is there.. glide down and mine up. or mine down

I had that issue, but if you persevere and very very slowly nudge toward the spot , its possible, even on a good slope.
As said above, your spot where you died is usually replaced somewhere out of the deadly shroud by the game, but near it , check with map.

you can make 8 in total of the flaming alter. and you flame can be upgradet to lvl 6 in ea.. do like i do. alwasy run with a alter on me. and a spare spot of those 8. it only cast u 5 stone every time u delete it and replace it

All the quest items respawn where you found them every time you restart the server/your game. Or just upgrade your altar and go get your stuff.

Are you sure, you lost quest-only-items? (are there even quest-only-items?) Because, not all is lost, if you die. (at least that is my experience.) I don't know exactly, what will kept, but I know, my Inventory wasn't completely empty. And you don't loose items in the quickbars.

If your corpse is at the bottom of a cliff, you can still get to it, though depending on the cliff size, it may take some time. Also, quest items should have stayed in your inventory.

Get as close as you can to the cliff edge.
Pull out your pickaxe and dig until you can get to the tombstone. Once you go down far enough, you should be able to reach your tombstone.
This happened to me once, but the cliff wasn't very tall, so it may take you multiple trips into the shroud.

Try passing bridges that where normaly enbedded in a blue shroud mist and all off the sudden are embedded in a red mist making traveling and passing impossible.
Happend after the last patch. Now I cannot get to Rivenwood anymore sins I have not unlocked the tower yet.

If you slide, like I do , off a cliff and die...you will have the chance to go back to the spot on the cliff and retrieve your items. If it is out of reach, use you pick and dig to the level and pick towards the items. Just don't repeat the slide. Your map will show the location of your death and you can mark that to go back to.
