I think Enshrouded is fantastic and I can't wait to play it with the next character... and the next... to enjoy the growing game world and explore the story further. Even the notes found in the world are worth reading (actually, it's a bit mean to find such long texts in the shroud, but at least you can read them later :-D ), the side quests are always a nice distraction from following the main story too single-mindedly.
I love the little details - the flowers and plants that don't turn into repetitive wallpaper patterns when you grow them, the beautiful colors of the stripes when you glide with the glider ... and so much more.
What I can't understand are the complaints that the battles are too easy. Hello, we're playing Enshrouded, not Dark Souls or anything like that! Personally, I like it the way it is. My character will fall over if I'm stupid, and I'll be punished for not paying attention, but if I'm on my game, the enemies are beatable. I also like not having to click my way through crazy key combinations or study for years to understand the skill tree, but still having a good selection of possible skill paths.
Of course there are some rough edges, but hopefully most of them will be fixed, honed and - with a lot of love - polished.
After all, we are talking about a game that has just been released in Early Access - and yet it is already better than many AAA games sold as "finished".
Dear Keen Games team,
please keep up the good work! Don't let the naysayers discourage you - they always find their own fly in the ointment anyway ;-).
Thanks for a great game!
((And a big thank you to my husband, who tirelessly comes to my aid in the game as well as in real life ;-*) ))
