Sand needed at lvl 12 but you wont get until desert :( please fix

There isnt any sand needed for any tank set.....

I guess it's to make the crucible for the smelter.
I did this in my playthrough not realizing that you can find it somewhere as part of a quest

I have the same issue, because the quest for the crucible was not triggered! Friend of mine told me, he had a quest so he could build the smelter. I assume it is a bug.

Go through your journal, we got the crucible on a quest. read what you think is more important to get. No I do not remember which one it was.

Just check somewhere online where the crucible is located, walk over and pick it up again.

I also got a spare sawblade that way.
