How to remove enshrouded at Longkeep?

So the basic starting area and I see enshrouded clouds
Can you remove it from Longkeep?

Maybe building a Flame Altar nearby?

No you simply cant remove the shroud. I tried to build in it and around it.
Choose another location to build. It will only hinder you.

i built the flame altar but Longkeep is close-by. The altar does not seem to effect the clouds that float around Longkeep.

Ok so don't focus on removing shroud at Longkeep? But I want to - isn't the goal to remove that stuff?

Yes and no. The game is more about discovering the past via lore that can unlock points of interest on the map or quests.

Killing Shroud Roots does remove a lot of shroud in the area which gives skill points and the ability to teleport out.

thank you, OK I am a completionist so I seek to completely remove the shroud but I see that is not the goal here.
