To make it even worse, it seems to fully override whatever sound level you have set. My computer volume is at 40% and the Master Volume in game is 58% right now. There is NO WAY the sound should have ever come through that loud.
And just because it sounded like a very short loud reverb on crack, I've now turned Dynamic Reverb off, just in case. I don't know if it would/could cause it, but it was on, it's not now.
Just going to list some of my specs here just in case there's some common ground.
Windows 10
Laptop - ROG Strix G G731
HyperX Cloud with 7.1 enabled.
That was on the level to possibly cause ear damage, so it really should be taken into consideration but so far I haven't seen anything from the devs, even search for other threads...
Really hope it gets fixed.
Windows 10
Audio Technica ATH M30x
Didn't change any setting on the headphones.
But also, it seems like a very odd and serious issue!
Im prone to migraines so I hope I dont get this bug.
Seems it happened both with speakers and headphones?
Ill disable that reverb option just in case
I played for a couple more hours after that post and after disabling the reverb option. I didn't get any loud noises, but did hear a more quiet crack about an hour later. It's not a problem that happens every time I play so hard to say if that was the problem. I'll update if it ever happens again with that setting disabled.
