Smithing Tools and Steel

Has anyone found a way to make the Smithing Tools for the blacksmith? I found the tools, but it requires 3 steel to craft and place, and you can't make anything better than copper without the smithing tools.

Im also in the same book as you. Ie some times its hard to remember, games like this.... ie early access is exactly what it says. Early access. Ive been looking for a while now. I may be completely wrong so dont hold me to this but its seemingly starting to sounds like bronze is where things end for now. That being said. Ie. Smithing tools need steel and we, no one has the ability to produce steel yet because they game is still in development and this itteration of the game is still in development. But please i highly kindly ask that you dont come across a different answer or direction towards this. Like you are told fully how and the steps to achieve this and i am completely wrong. This is only an assumption from what i have been hearing and reading in several places trying to achieve the smithing tools my self.

You get the tools through a quest currently removing the need to craft them.

You only need steel to recraft them, likely an oversight as it even lacks a proper icon.

Once you find the tools, just plonk them down in your base. With the exception of the sawblade most of the stuff you find for the crafters are placeable items.

I think the option to craft is probably for multiplayer or for folk who'd like to have a couple of racks around their forge or a few extra cauldrons in the alchemists sanctum.

When exploring the towers I make it a habit to destroy every vase I come accros. Having that sayd, I have 3 iron bars on stock for the moment I got the toolstuff. (drops from vases)
For now that is out of reach sins it seems I have to upgrade my altar to lvl 4 to get to them.

My altar was at the upgrade with needed the sickle scythe head when I got the tools. Spotted that the marker was right by a root so did a blind glide into the spot, killed the root and went for a wander. Might still have been on the 150% glider as well.
