Fun solo?
I never play with strangers and want to keep friends being friends, so I don't play with them either. I've played many survival craft games and tend to enjoy them up until mid-late game, where it just gets tedious.

Because of this, I enjoy doing my thing, at my pace, on my terms. So... with this info, is the game fun? I don't mind a bit more of grinding

Yes. I've only played solo and have been loving it.

32 hours in, the game is still a very well balanced solo experience. Since there are no raids or other scaling mechanics to force combat you can very much play at your own pace.

The only real motivation to rush anything would be if there is a particular progression item you want to start using ASAP.

if you have a moderae tolerance for a bit of grinding then yes. totally soloable in every way. the game is so easy i cannot even imagine you have any kind of challenge in multiplayer currently. i played trough most of the currently available content. the map isnt finished. only about 35% of it can be explored currently and the level cap will keep increaseing too.

Does not feel anywhere near as grindy as say valheim for example and overall feels pretty balanced for solo play difficulty wise.

Its probably more fun solo. The game is best played at your own pace, in the intricately crafted world. getting lost, exploring side paths, finding secrets with slow careful exploration and investigation. Team play is like trying to herd cats. doesn't fit a game like this well at all honestly. the team play does shine in how the "classes" often compliment each other.

Yes, I play solo and I love it. The building aspects in this game is fantastic. I mean, building a home in a cave! Outstanding!

The game is also very laid back och casual friendly compared to Valheim. Definitely not as grindy.
