Character Customization
Hello friends, hello Keen Games,

I was really interested in playing Enshrouded. But I really wonder why blacksmith NPC´s look so much better than our own character? I like playing warriors. Physically, you look like a small, thin boy. Why are there no customization options? Whether fat, thin, muscular and also height options? It feels like this is just another woke thing here. Alot of games goes this way atm and I am absolutely bored and tired of that bullsh...
I know alot of people do not care. But I do.

I want to decide how my hero looks like if I can create him.
Just add some options in the future and I am in.

Thank you.

I just want to make my characters horrifying gremlins!
zombieFever I don't know about the dong thing but I think more eye colors then just brown is a reasonable request.
I don't like being short either I feel like I'm playing a hobbit. That's usually one of the things I like about western games. They usually don't force me to play as a short guy. Though the lack of eye color choice bothers me more. I don't even want to progress my character because I know I'm going to replace him as soon as they add more character customization options.
I agree that it would be great to have more customization, and I would personally love the ability to customize my character after creation to fit my changing playstyle choices and view of my character because similar to as you say, sometimes I want to look like a bulky brawler, and other times I want to look more like a nimble assassin. (we can already change names at any time, so it makes sense to me).

However, I think it is unnecessary to accuse the developers of making this a political statement with no evidence of this being true. Being "the boy who cried woke" is equally as annoying as being woke. Like others are saying, it's early access, so they have created body types that fit a standard armor model, hopefully, to grow on. Also, over time, the awkward impression of the character design fades as you obtain better gear. That's been true for me, and I have seen it true for many others in posts as well. The devs seem to pay attention to the feedback, so there is a chance that more features like you want will be added.
Technical overhead. Your character could not be as detailed as the blacksmith to save on environmental performance.
the single character model looks like they took a hobbit from a std. asset package and just inserted it into the game with the most basic of 2007, game console character editing.. it is by far the most annoying part of the core game.. that and the movement; the jumping in particular is.. odd. I chalk it all up to millennial's doing the ' it's good enough' thing that has been putting thousands of them in the gaming industry out on the streets these last 2 years.

yup the character creation is a joke like most games these days...restrictions restrictions, you will just have to wait for the 'better characters' DLC and the "use moar CPU' DLC.

They all look like stumpy little kids, loony toons, Reign of Kings you could make some great characters, tall and gangly or short and round and it gives the game so much more richness and amusement.

Character creation they call it....choosing from this one or that one....LMAO
the price tag of £25 keeps it kind of acceptable, i am hoping the game opens up, so far i aint passed the 'find the survivor' or whatever it is, it's feeling real linear and hand holdy at the moment, it's doing nothing to pull me in, i have no desire to hit play again, i can't strategise, can't have a game plan, just go here hit this, grab that, pass through the smokey stuff, oops you're dead start again.

I fear it's just another game that uses the right language in the wrong context to give the gamer the feeling that the story line and things you do have a cultural and metaphysical context, when really they're just using words like Enshrouded and The flame and Apotheosis etc to fake that it has depth, but it's just buzz words and no context so far, i hope i'm wrong and at some point i'll be like "oh that's a nice touch" but so far, it's just another Palworld, no meaning or reason to be hitting balloon animals in empty servers
