The combat is the big let down for me though.
Haven't felt this instantly hooked and immersed in years.
And considering that this is the first version of Early Access, I can't even begin to imagine what the final version will be like, gonna be awesome.
I come from Valheim (many compare it with this game) and the combat in Enshrouded is for me way better. You can feel the impact of blows (not in VH), you can log on the target or not (not in VH), the combat animations are fluid (not in VH), there are a skill tree to get much more combat skills (not in VH), you can loot weapons of different tiers and with skills (not in VH) ... so as a VH player I must admit: The combat in Enshrouded is way better. You can always make improvements, but for a EA game the combat is ok.
But I tend to be cautious, trying to single out enemies and fight on my conditions. That may be the cause, that the combat is "easy". Don't know, how middle/late game combat is or when I'm swarmed by multiple opponents. I think that will make a big difference.
