The tricky one was the STONE CHAIR counts for +4, in addition to the Palm Wood Chair being +5. The STONE BENCH also counts +4, in addition to the +5 Iron Bench. Last, I also somehow missed the 'Tables' section having 4 types to craft and you want 3 of the 4 (don't need side table, just bedside table).

But here is the full MINIMAL list to get to 69 (you need a grand total of just 14 items):

+5 Flame Altar Base Comfort with Shelter/Warmth (note that gives you a start of 10 minutes so 69 max comfort but 74 minutes; skill can raise 5 more minutes to 79 minutes but still 69 comfort level); None of the fireplaces give any value (despite what it says)
+4 Carpet (watch out, it's at end of the list, the 1st two straw matts are only +3)
+3 Wall Decoration (any painting OR iron trophy, just need 1)
+6 Palm Wood Bed
+5 Palm Wood Banquet Table
+5 Palm Wood Bedside Table (no need for palm wood side table)
+7 Sand Throne
+4 Stone Chair
+5 Iron Bench
+4 Stone Bench
+4 Stone Sink
+4 Stone Lavatory
+4 Copper Bathtub
+4 Stone Shower
+5 Chandelier (no other lights needed)

I think the fireplaces don't give any value because the flame alter is in that category and already gives +5.

ah ok i wondered why i wasn't reaching max comfort, i thought i had missed some decorations or something. Turns out there's just some bugs that allow you to stack multiple items that should be mutually exclusive.

I think going forward i'll just build one of everything, I'm burying all the stuff under the floorboards anyway because i want a Spartan layout with just the necessities.

In addition to the list of nicholas, i have a brick fireplace ... might be an update that now include the fireplace as they should be.

It sounds like those with the perk get a higher comfort rating, by 5, but it seems their rested is still being calculated without the perk. Reaper who reported a comfort rating of 69 is only getting 74 minutes, but I bet SaiL with 68 comfort rating, who's getting 78 minutes, doesn't have the perk.

Could also be a bug, of course. :)

The max you can currently get is 76 Comfort. You get that by placing the new double bed that for some reason stacks with the other beds.

So from current testing the new list for max comfort is:

-Bronze Bathtub
-Stone Sink
-Stone Toilet
-Stone Shower
-Boreal Wood Bedside Table
-Boreal Wood Bench
-Boreal Wood Chair
-Magnificent Boreal Wood Table
-Granite Throne
-Sand Throne
-Granite Fireplace
-Steel Hanging Lamp
-any iron trophy or wall painting


Notes:
-currently it seems ALL beds are bugged as none of them ACTUALLY provide any + to comfort level despite there being no other beds placed.
-all Hearths seem to give -2 of whatever they say they will(yes Hearths provide comfort despite some claims)
-99% of Illumination options give -1 of whatever their listed comfort says
exceptions:
steel hanging lamp and steel wall lamp give the correct amount
steel chandelier gives -4 of its listed amount

The only items within the same category that stack are the Granite Throne and Sand Throne. I tested quite a lot of the items but stopped when all illumination, chairs, and beds were no longer adding comfort and assumed only 1 in each category works(minus the thrones). My assumption is that people who think the stone chair stacks with other chairs are placing the stone chair first and getting its + then adding another chair and getting partial + giving the false impression that it stacks(that or updates have since changed this). So if you find anything that actually stacks to give more total comfort than any of the items listed above feel free to correct.

Bringing us to a grand total of Comfort Level 80 on a level 8 Flame with Well Rested, for a maximum Rested buff time of 1:30:00. Leaving the only way, currently, to get more comfort is 4 players using Exceptional Instruments for +3 each hitting 92 Comfort for 1:42:00
